This has got to be a wind up.
Did the gas emergency man RIDDOR the job as he should of done?
As somebody said it's disgusting that warm front fit boilers for landlords, The plus side is that slummy landlords end up with ideal isars and icos boilers.0 -

The gas emergency service has done so now on two occaisions but it is the Landlord who choose to ignore what needs to be done and reconnected the gas after the 1st visit hence a 2nd visit to the property by the gas emergency service who have again made safe. I am sure the emergency engineer will file the appropiate report if required by what he found on site, also the op can now ask for a copy of the job report so he can also have written details as well as the paper work that would have been left by the engineer when they made safe.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -
Hi bambibashercol,
not sure what RIDDOR but when he gave me the paper work to explain what he has done there is a bit on there saying Reportable under RIDDOR and ticked the box to mark as yesbambibashercol wrote: »This has got to be a wind up.

RIDDOR probably would have covered the initial reason for disconnecting so the local council H&S man may be calling if it was reported.
Reportable gas incidents
If you ....blah blah blah......
If you are an installer of gas appliances registered with the Council for Registered Installers (Gas Safe Register), you must provide details of any gas appliances or fittings that you consider to be dangerous, to such an extent that people could die or suffer a 'major injury', because the design, construction, installation, modification or servicing could result in:
(a) an accidental leakage of gas;
(b) inadequate combustion of gas or;
(c) inadequate removal of products of the combustion of gas.0 -
This is a farce.
Does this tenant and landlord think that the National gas Emergency service is there to wipe their collective backsides?
No..they've been once, cut off issued notices. The next step should be to RIDDOR report this joker to the HSE and see if they are interested. Meanwhile, the tenant needs to move out of this slum becuase the landlord is clearly playing him/her for a mug. Also,the landlord needs to pay his own money out for repairs/heating system instead of fraudulently sponging off taxpayers as so many have done,via warmfront.
case closed.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
"he dosent seem to be standing up to his responsibilities i will contact shelter when i get home and seek advice"
Its much more than that, the negligence you are describing is so severe I think he's reisking prosecution if God forbid someone were to be injured in this deathtarp house.
Was my guess of how things got this bad accurate? Because I cannot imagine any other reason to accept this kind of shoddy treatment.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0 -

It may be the best option, you can't put a price on your safety. There are good private landlord out there, but some bad ones too! Good luck.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0

Sadly this is not the first ll to behave in such a reckless way and it scares me the way they show such a casual regard for that of their tennants risking lives and property for the sake of either laziness, greed, stupidity or all three together.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0
