Unfortunately even swapping things or giving them away for free isn't allowed on here.

Hi there been reading with interest and just wanted to add where I got my bargainous jars and scoops from.

First 6 jars I got from halscost, they are a set of 3 with silver lids and would hold about 600g I guess, plus they usually do BOGOF on kitchen items so keep your eyes on these. Just checked and not in stock at minute but they have been popping in and out of stock for a few months now.

Second lot were a brainwave I got while doing shopping at Tesco, instead of buying the nescafe gold blend I switched to the dowe eggberts and collected the jars, another 6 free as we drink coffee anyway. Plus they had BOGOF which was great.

Scoops I bought from ebay and I got 4 silver scoops in varying sizes for £6.45 inc delivery. Comparing to some of the prices these go for this is a steal. Cant post link but if you type in food scoop they should come up. I could have got the clear ones but the silver ones look much nicer and they are a much better size for a sweety table than the 50z.

All sweets I bought from Approved food and I got absolutely loads for about £14.00 ex delivery.

So all in all I think I have done my whole sweety table for about £30.00 all in, very proud of myself.:money:

All will be given the bling treatment with labels and bows to match, will post apic when I get them finished, and of course I am still on the look out for more bargains hth

I think I've got everything now for mine except for the scoops and it's all come in at less than £35. My jars came from Asda for £1- £1.20 depending on what size and shape. Have got a picture of half of it done, I'll have to put it up when I get a chance to work it out.
    We've got
Cadburys Cream Eggs (10p ea just after easter)
Aero Lambs (again 10p after easter)
    Lindt Bunnies (6 for £1)
    Rainbow Sticks
    Mini Love Hearts
    Cadburys Shots
    Jelly rings
    Misc Jellies
    Fizzy cola laces
    jazzies
    jelly babies
    Maoam stripes
and about another 6 tubs which I can't remember off hand. But each half a tub fills a jar on average. So there's plenty for refills. I can't believe how excited some of my friends are getting over this as they have never seen one done before. Just now have the task of keeping the OH away from them as he's already gotten into the Lindt bunnies and eaten one. I dread to think what will happen if he sees there's Maoam stripes in the pile of boxes (his favourite).
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

wow you've all done really well with your candy buffets, i didnt even think of doing it myself and ordered it from a website. i got 12 different types of sweets (got to choose from a massive menu) got 1kg of each and they all come in small metal champagne buckets, 100 sweety bags and 5 scoops. I'm gonna have to find 7 more scoops as i'm using them for table centres during the day. but this cost £145 inc. delivery. which i didnt think was too bad until i happened on this website!! luckily for me my nanna asked if she could pay for this, so that was brilliant. we do get to keep the champagne buckets so i will be doubling these up as a present for MIL2B for her garden.

Remember that lots of places do candy buffets these days so they can work out cheaper or about the same price as buying all the stuff and it saves hassle of doing it yourself :o
