I've suddenly developed a bit of an obsession for planning my sweetie buffet. I think it's because I have over 9 months to go til my big day, and I can satisfy my obsession for bargains and shopping by keeping an eye out for lovely jars and things. I've discovered some lovely vintage style jars in Poundland, B & M and Home Bargains.
I've decided not to follow my colour scheme (of red and gold) with the sweets themselves, since I feel we'd be very limited so I shall allow a rainbow of colours over the table. But only for the sweets, everything else is red and gold:heart2::heartsmil Got married on 23/03/2012 :heartsmil:heart2:0 -
Just thought i'd let people know about some glass jars that I got in Asda today. They were a £1 and £1.20 each. The upright ones have a old fashioned lid on ad look like the original sweetie jars

Product Code: 1841791 cost £1.20!
Sorry forgot to mention that the jars are 1L and look as if they would hold about half a jar of sweets (ie the 1kg drums that sweets retail in)
So 10 jars has only cost me £11 ( 5 of each)
The 2nd jars can tilt on their sides so that you have a side opening if that makes any sense. Now all i need is to find some scoops as got bags from ebay at £2.00 for a hundred striped paper bags0 -
Ooh those jars look great! Shame Asda don't deliver to me
Might see if I can get to one soon, do you know if they in stores too?0 -
