I am joining you ladies - finally persuaded H2B! Has anyone got their jars from Ikea?
I am not going to stick to my colour scheme (deep purple) in the sweets but am going to have some bunting on the table in that colour and maybe a LOVE or Mr and Mrs sign?
    Very excited!

  • becca - our theme is cadburys purple too but i didnt want my sweets selection to be limited, so we have purple satin-y stuff as a table cloth, with some battery powered fairy lights on top and then white organza (with diamontes) on top of that,
all the sweety signs have purple on them as do the bags and it ties it all in to the main theme while still letting me have any sweets i want :)

OH bought a red flock LOVE sign but i dont really like it.... i might spray it purple and see if it improves :)

  • I just can't stop buying bits and pieces for my candy buffet - can't wait to see how it turns out! FYI ladies looking for a LOVE sign, Home Bargains currently have them in white or black wood in a nice scrolly handwriting font, good size too (about 45cm wide) for £2.49!

Hello im going to be doing my own as its part of all the items that i make etc and sell etc.i have access to whole salers so have already eyed up the sweets which is hard to choose from as there is so many.yum

If anyone in your family has a business they could register at a wholesalers for you as im thinking some of the vases will need lots of sweets depedning on size, will work out cheaper as u can get big bags

I bought a candy grabber off I Want One of Those for £9.99 (full price 14.99, we had a £5 voucher). It looks cute and the reviews seem pretty good. Hope it gets here soon :)
Planning on putting it on the far side of the sweetie table, or maybe even it's own little table -Since it'll fit in nicely with the "fun sweetie" theme but it's obviously not as quaint or dainty as lots of jars and stripey candy bags

OOOo that's a great idea, I think Home Bargains had them in a while ago as well. I may go and have a look as see if I can get one, the kiddies (and not so young kiddies) would love it!
