    Mini overtime update......

Hours so far for Dec payday = 18 :D

Hopefully add to that on Friday and next week with any luck - all coming together.

On another note, forgot car due for it's MOT - booked in on Monday so savings total may have to go down as something I hadn't factored for. Fingers crossed nothing too big!
  • I have been reading your journey and its amazing..I can't believehow far you have come xx I hope to be in your shoes in a years time :)

Time for me to get back on track and focused :D Thought I could just do as I please and it'll all happen but nope, certainly need lists and aims in Choc land :rotfl:

    So from now on......

    1. Save £2 coins in little miss piggy (she's white with lovely sparkling flowers on that makes saving more fun!) and will not touch until full.
    2. 10 nsd per month - should easily do this as seem to be adapting well to spending no money during the week :)
    3. 30 mins of exercise per day - may have to be gentle as waiting for physio appt but need to do something as so sluggish.
    4. Meal plan for week ahead - will start this as of Monday as will food shop at weekend, with a list I might add ;)

There these are my little things to keep me focused and on track. Will be back to my daily 'little' to-do-lists and hopefully end 2010 on a high :D

Plan of action for remainder of wk.....

    Today
Work late to clear some outstanding cases
Have nice evening out with friend (prob jkt spud at local pub)
Move old sofa's into conservatory in prep for new ones arriving :j
Pack away clothes that are dry on airers and hang out washing in machine

    Friday
Wait for delivery of new sofas - so exciting as paid and ordered them nearly 2 months ago!!!!
Finish last two washloads and hang out to dry
    Work 4 hours overtime

    Saturday
    Help friends move
Sort out living room - put up pics and decide on 3rd colour....any ideas?? Creamy walls with choc brown sofas.....I was thinking of a lime green??
Fireworks teatime/early eve at OH's parents
Watch x-factor whilst cuddled up with OH :kisses2:

    Sunday
Go watch dogs in show - boarder collies. We're hoping to get one next year, just waiting for mummy dog to fall pregnant. Will be lovely to get to meet her and some of her other older babies to ensure a good breed. Although have no doubt as through friends - this will be her last litter as she is too old after, aww.
Maybe do something nice with OH, walk, bike ride....just something diff to house stuff.

Need to forward plan financil costs a little better so.....

Car tax due end of Jan 11 - need to save £23.33 per month to cover this.
Car insurance due end of May 11 - need to save £35.71 per month to cover this.

Obviously not exact figures but rough estimations based on last payments and think it is best to spread the cost and prepare.

£59.04 per month between now and end of January.
£35.71 per month from February onwards.

After insurance has been paid in May I will sit and work out another budget to cover all costs :)
  • Lime green or duck egg blue - both look nice and fresh with chocolate and cream.

    What are the sofas like?
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Hopefully this link will work - it's the Amelie range in choc brown. We have a large sofa and oversized armchair coming. My dilemma is that I think it may be hard to introduce a colour as the cushions have some kind of colour in them (perhaps cream or minkish colour??) will have to wait and see when they arrive tom morn!

Updated.....I actually really like these curtains....what do you guys think, match sofa or not???

.......actually thinking about curtains, they may make room too dark with dark sofas and other furniture. Hmm, maybe lighter curtains with similar colours in and some choc brown.....decisions decisions!

Just about to finish work for the day now, been here since 7ish so done my stint!

Woo hoo, it's Friday tomorrow - overtime in the evening but then free until Monday as no overtime :D

    Have a good evening all,

    Choc x
  • Curtains are lovely but I think you might be right about needing a paler background colour. Grattan's catalogue have a couple nice beige ones with brown etc patterns on. I've just got some nice silver grey ones with black flowers on from Amazon. There were alot cheaper than the department stores.

Ok, so deliver driver just called to say will be here within the hour :j:j:j I am so excited as we can now finish the lounge off this weekend and buy curtains/accessories etc :D

The washing from yesterday is still not 100% dry so not going to put load on until it's dry as will look like chinese launderette in my house - pet hate of mine and OH's is having washing drying everywhere! Refuse to get tumble dryer though, plus don't know where we'd put it!

Overtime is still on track at the moment, all is good :D

    Hey diary,

Wend went well, finished living room and all costs pretty much accounted for by (dip in) savings fund. That's it now until next year, to be honest we've done really well as have now decorated and finished the hall, stairs and landing, lounge and conservatory - not bad in 3 months and paid for with 'real' money too :D

So, car MOT bit of a shock, nearly £400!!!! Thankfully I am very lucky and my Dad is giving me £350 towards it as knows I struggle and he has said that he'd like to help when he can. So only need to find the odd £50 now which is far easier.

    Wet Tuesday's to do list.....

    1. Finish off tidying house after chaotic wend decorating etc.
    2. Put dark load on for washing.
    3. Go for a run/or 30mins exercise at home

Nothing major for today, just playing catch up.

Ooh and just been told there is overtime Sat and Sun, woo hoo! Means that by end of this weekend I will have 30hrs overtime for December pay day, whoopee!!!! :j
