There, will update my signature with my challenges, hopefully this will spur me on to really up the effort and get on with it

Best of luck with your challenges hun, your debt has come down massively and that's a really good sized monthly payment you are making. It wont be long before you can plan exactly what you are going to do with your spare £1000!

Thanks lovely, it has come down hasn't it! I think I need to remember that sometimes as I forget just how much I have paid so far. Still scares me to think what I have paid towards debts these past years, by the time i've finished I could have paid for a house I reckon!! Ah well, no point looking back today, now and then future is all that matters.
I'm really hoping the £900 odd is going to take my debts down considerably and with saving along side for settlements fingers crossed they'll be going one by one!0 -
Morning diary,
I'm in a pinky girly mood today, hence the colour
Pay day today - woo hoo :j I'm very excited about sitting down and working out how much I can transfer across to my savings pot and get it under way to reaching my 1k target by new year.
Plan of action today/pending wend -- work late today
- check banking
- go out with friend this evening
- sat - work overtime
- sat/sun spruce house, sorting and clearing etc
- sun - sort out garden, clear guttering and windows etc.

Oh and get me and my MSE ways, have opted to stay in for my bday next week to save us some money and to be honest i'm not that fussed about celebrating turning 32!!
OH can cook dinner for me
Hope everyone has a lovely day, Choc x0 -

Just dawned on me that I am turning 32 tomorrow and I really do not want to be in this mess come the time I am 33 - far too a depressing thought to entertain!

Hi Choc
I reckon that with your new determination (and lots of overtime
) you'll make a massive dent in your debts this year, and by this time next year you'll be in a much better position.
I think we all have days when you look at the debt total and think it's never going to be paid off, but we just have to shake that off and plunge back in to debtbusting
I realised last week that I've been really lax since august, so have given myself a boot up the as$ to get on with it, as I know that it's going to delay all my plans if I don't get this debt gone asap.
So have a lovely birthday, celebrate with OH and friends, lots of cake, and make a pledge to 33 year old Choc that she'll be in a better position when she arrives
You get one day a year to celebrate being you and all the things you've achieved this year (buying a house!), and decide how you want the next year to be, so make the most of it

Thanks Jules, this was just the post I needed! :A
Like you i've been lax since Aug, same reasons I guess...moving....but both our moves were positive steps so I think we can be forgiven
Thanks again! xx 0 -
Glad you're feeling a bit more focussed (on birthday cake I hope!
)
I like to really celebrate my birthday, mostly to make a point as it's on Boxing Day so tends to get overlooked if I don't make a fuss about it! :rotfl:At least I never have to work on my birthday!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 2016
