Neglecting my diary a bit so feel the need to pop on and post some updates.
Total debt is nearly sub 39k.....17 odd pounds.....so pleased with that and hopeful it'll be nearer the 38k mark soon enough.
Savings for debt repayments now up to £400 - nice boost to my mission. Def on target to 1k by end of the year. Already have 12hrs overtime to put aside for December pay and hope to work another 8 this week so that'll be 20 already with a few weeks until cut off date - things are looking good
I've even managed to put aside £100 towards new wardrobes that we want to buy which are £149 each so I am pleased about that.
No big events this week, girls are coming over Sat eve for x factor and a curry so that'll be my only real expense this week. Hoping for a cheap one and so far haven't spent a penny since Sunday
Kinda enjoying embarking on this frugal lifestyle....I really hope to clear in full a couple of creditors come new year and knock my total debt down some more.
Hope everyone else is well, see most of you (sorry speak to most of you!) via other threads anyway,
Choc x0 -

Well done on your new savings total Choc, you will be giving me a run for my money at this rate
. I think it will do you the world of good to get rid of a few creditors, something it just feels like an endless mission but at least you will feel like part of it is 'finished' if that makes sense?
Sounds like you have a fab girlie night in planned for this weekend as well :T. I think I am working Saturday night *booh hiss* but money is money I suppose!

Hello Choc, sorry have just found your new diary (better late than never) and sorry for missing your birthday

You sound as positive as ever - but stop going up in the loft by yourself please. I hope you are feeling less sore now.
I too need to do some urgent savings as we have to find £2500 to mend the roof as soon as possible. I do have £1000 hidden but that includes Christmas spends and also my car tax due in December. But I think i can juggle Christmas out of my grocery money and we can go skint in January for the car tax if really necessary.
So I'll be trying to save along side you (as well as trying to debtbust too). Never ends ...
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -

I think you are right Jody, paying off a couple will really spur me on and obviously seeing the total debt going down will even more so!
Can't wait for Sat, have £15 sat in my purse from last week still and that'll pay for my curry and drinks.....there was once a time that having £15 in purse would prompt me to spend it....clearly the tables have turned, it's a nice feeling

Hey Pen,
sorry to hear about your roof - that's not what you need!
You're right, it is never ending but main thing is we are trying and working at it....can't do much more than that can we??
Haven't been up in loft since, have a nice scar on my wrist from it as a memory though  xx0 -
Hope you have a great curry tonight Choc! I'm jealous, I love a good curry

Oops! Not been on in a while

Had a bit of a busy few days and eventful too.......lovely weekend with family and friends and then not so nicer visit to docs yest
Not going to dwell on it though.
If anything yesterday has taught me I need to look after myself more so that is exactly what I intend to do....but gently as don't think my poor body can take any aggressive action or hardcore exercise right now!
So today is a new day, yesterday was for dwelling and it's been and gone.
Will update again later with a few plans of action, think I need something to focus on until I get hosp appts through.
Hope everyone well and having a good day, Choc x0
