Wow Choc, that is a huge figure you have already paid off! Does it make you see it more clearly when it is written down like that?

Sorry to hear about your stair tumble, how did you manage that and are you recovered now? The retail therapy sounds fab, even better that most of it was already paid for - that's the best kind :D

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

    Hey Jody!

How's the holiday hunting coming along? Will pop onto your diary later to find out - exciting!

Certainly does make things more clearer seeing it written down and gives me great focus to do it and I will!!!

Retail therapy was great and actually ended up spending no money as taken back couple of things so just vouchers used in end ;)

Right off to check some online banking, see if I can't reduce that deficit to reaching 20k! x

Yay, we have booked our annual Christmas weekend away :j

http://www.penmachnohall.co.uk/ - we'll be staying in the coach house cottage.

We've been here before, OH surprised me a couple of Christmas's ago and we loved it so will be going again. Can't wait for some winter walking in snowcapped hills and mountains :D

We have decided that it'll be our Christmas present to one another so that's sorted - maybe a little more than would have spent but it'll be worth it. The owners decorate the Coach House really nice for Christmas too - very pretty.
  • Looks lovely Choc, I'm very jealous.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Have utilised a old money box - pretty white pig with flowers on....she is now my £2 coin saving box and currently sitting with an empty belly of £2 :( She'll be fuller soon though!

Pay day not until Dec 15th so things pretty static at moment. OH owes me a bit of cash so will claim that to see me through and hopefully end up with a few £'s over to put towards debt repayments.

Nothing else exciting.....working tom and have friends around for mexican in eve....yay! :D
  • Hi Choc

Just been catching up on your diary and would like to say well done! You have come so far since your LBM and it looks like you are well on the way to your DFD. Nice to hear you are looking forward to a nice Christmas treat - you deserve it. Have a great Christmas and good luck with your debtbusting!

    Hey Muffin!

Thank you! I'm getting there. Feeling far more focused then ever at the moment and hopefully the hard work will pay off to a brighter 'financial' future. xx

    Afternoon diary land,

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the snow. We've had at least 2ft of snow since last night and it's still snowing :D OH and I are going to go out for a nice crisp walk later on this evening :j

Been having a look at money and I think as long as I have calculated Dec pay cheque right then I will reach my target of 1k by the end of the year in savings! Wow, I have never had that much saved up for as long as I can remember - quite exciting and very motivating to cut back these next few weeks to ensure that I do meet it.

Diet is going ok, although the xmas chocs and socialising is getting in my way. I will give it my best shot these next few weeks and will up the exercise to burn off a few of those extra calories I am taking in ;)

Is anyone else excited about starting the new year 2011??? I know we shouldn't wish away time but i'm really hopeful that it'll bring lots of positivity for all of us, I can feel it in my bones :)

    Choc xx
