oooh we had a bit of snow here in SE London... but by time i'd got ready to go work at 9am it was just mush and slippy :(

Didn't cycle in and got the tube (which i hate!) because there was suppose to be a works do tonight which i was really looking forward too seeing i haven't been out for a while lol.. but its been cancelled :( so i got the tube for nothing (i'd normally get the bus but just missed it - ie i was running for the bus stop and the driver looked me in the eye and pulled off when i was 1 metre away :mad:)

But its pretty watching the snow fall from the office window as it looks so nice...just a shame its turning to mush once it hits the ground!

The latest on my skylights... oh dear... we came in last night to a wonderful cosy livingroom...bcause the handyman had simply come round and turned the electric heater on and left it on all day!! What a waste of electricity!! I'm furious because you can tell he hasn't even looked at the windows - the blinds are in the exact position we left them in and so are the towels blocking some of the drafts up. Sent a very angry email to the letting agents last night and I'm still awaiting their reply - i am so cross!!!! Having the heating on full blast and possibly starting a fire (i don't trust those electric heaters unless i am in the house) is not a solution to our problem!

Mistra, you're in the wrong bit of south east london, pop over crystal palace or bromley way, lots of lovely snow here.
Not settled on the main roads, as they are always solid with cars, but the side streets look fab.
I've got a good 2" of snow in my garden, and its looks wonderful.
Thats enough though, dont want as much as 'up north' have had. London would grind to a halt!!

Pleased that you are joining in with the snow 'down South';) Chris Evans was ecstatic when it started falling this morning during his programme. It's so nice for the kids isn't it? Apart from last year some of them couldn't ever remember playing in the snow...shame.I love it and I'm a Grandma!:j

I'm not best pleased. I went out to the shed to get the snow shovel so I could clear the drive so DH could get the car on it when he comes home. After searching for a while I eventually phoned DH only to be told that he broke the snow shovel last winter.

It doesn't seem to have occured to him to replace the thing-I don't suppose we'll be able to get one now.He has the garden spade with him . Grrr!

Oh no! I just had a call from my sister. She is in Surrey. Picked her boys up early from school at 2.0. I spoke to them at 4.50 and they had still only travelled two miles! :0 The roads were gridlocked.

Spoke again to one of my nephews at 5.20 & they had decided to take a different route. Sister just called - the three of them are stranded and are now attempting to walk three miles home in the snow. :( Luckily she had a bag of extra clothes in the car that she was giving away so they have all padded up with extra layers. Feel so awful for them though. It's quite a hilly area they live in and I think it will take an hour to walk home on a good day! :0

My DS went to the shed to get the sledge and his wellies (he keeps wearing mine) and the key snapped in the padlock!!!!!! He is still wearing my wellies and he used his friends sledge.
