we have "proper snow" as ds2 calls it, its settling and the sky is full of it, only problem is the glass roads underneath.
temps according to the car is minus 6, this is on the coast in Lincolnshire.
have lit the coal fire and the living room is now toasty warmMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -
-6 now, has been colder through the night
Those in rented properties that are really cold - insist the landlord does something or allows you to do it yourself! Not a chance I'd put up with any grief from them if all I wanted to do was keep warm. I do however really like a very cold bedroom, much to my partners disgust.
Anyway another thing I am going to start doing is making sure I put a spoon of salt down the sink drain when it's minus something daft. Don't want frozen pipe again.
I need to pick up my DS2 today who has been away on cubs camp for 2 nights, so I need to pack him some spare clothes as he may have used all he had again. Got the towing straps in the car ready as it was very boggy where they are staying and we have had about 6 more inches of snow since! One day I might be more organised...........

We got more snow! :j:j:j
Only a few inches which hardly counts by Mardatha's standard. I ran out the back garden in my PJs and my wellies to [STRIKE] jump around in it[/STRIKE] feed the birds. This is one of the very few occasions I wish I had kids ... they would be a good excuse for me playing in the snow.
Accuweather tells me it's -7C but it doesn't feel that cold ... it was bitter last night though, took me ages to get warm in bed even with 2 duvets, a fleece, and my usual attractive bedime ensemble of bedsocks and PJs .. doh, don't know why I forgot my wheat bag and hot water bottle, silly me!Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!
