Preparing for winter II

It was -2c here today. I put the washing out this morning, and when we got back later this afternoon it was all frozen solid. It's standing up on its own in the tub at the moment waiting to go into the dryer. Got another load to go out tomorrow. I do hope I get a new washing machine early in the week.0

masking tape is good for sealing gaps round windows and it doesn't leave sticky marks. You can get it in varying thickness too.
(Its also good as freezer labels as it won't leave sticky marks on your plastic containers)

hey it's something to amuse the kids with... and you could sneakily slide in some science lessons by explaining why it happens0 -

I've just been out on the step for a quick fag and it's like walking into a freezer. I couldn't feel my hands, temperature is reading -3, but it feels much colder than that.
Apart from last winter I don't remember it being this cold. What happened to mild wet winters?0 -
thank you all for the suggestions regarding dd's window!
Shes not here tonight so will be stuffing stuff in the gaps tomorrow, and will try masking tape too (thanks for the tip!), although seeing as it's plastic framed, it shouldn't be too hard to get the sticky stuff off!
Had a look on Netweather for next week too, and it's forecast -13 next friday night for here!! That is ridiculous!!!!!
Told OH, and he told me I'm obsessed with the forecast at the moment, does anyone else have an OH who thinks the same?! Or is it just me96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -

Mine DH gets weather reports all year round from me, I'm read several weather forums, and he thinks I'm nuts, but he knew that 18 years ago, now he just stuffs cotton wool in his ears when I'm waffling:D0 -
It's minus 8 outside now. And about minus 4 in my loo and I need a bath !!0
