It is nice but I'm already thinking of changing plans for tomorrow if it's still lying. C'mon you lot who haven't prepared, this is your final wake up call...you know it makes sense:) oh, and let's be careful out there:grouphug:

eeek no winter car pack yet. What an idiot. I walk but DH drives. I've a panic on now. Must make him wear his thermals tomorrow at least. Hopefully not too bad. It's stopped snowing here for now at least. Off to search throough the thread to see what is appropriate for a winter pack

Food - cereal bars, chocolate etc
    Drink - anything!
Warmth - blanket, hat, gloves, extra socks
    torch
    high vis jacket/band/anything!
    cigs if he smokes :D

    optional -
spade - to dig out of snow
salt/sand/grit to put under tyres to get a grip or pieces of old carpet

That covers the basics I think :)

    HTH

Ah, there, there, fuddle don't worry, I'm sure that we'll wake up in the morning and it will have melted. Then you'll have time to sort it won't you? As long has you have chocolate to take with you on a journey you'll be fine:)

AND don't forget to keep your car kit IN the car, not in the boot... if you get stuck, you might not be able to get to the boot ;)

The passenger side footwell is the best place to store essentials :)

I'm very jealous, I WANT SOME SNOW(stamps feet and sulks)

well if it's any consolation it stopped shortly after but the stuff on the grass and roads hasn't melted... if i hadn't *just* run out of dry ice i'd have packaged some up and sent it to you ;)

i suspect there will be more soon though tomorrow's forcast is looking favourable for it...

Good idea and remember to check your tyres...OH mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the tread was down on two of them. Thanks to reading this thread I suggested that we got them changed. I'm so pleased now that we did. This is one time when I'm glad that we spent money. You can't take chances with tyres...
