    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

    and may i also add

    BBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

it was really warm in here last night so i thought to myself 'ok no heat tonight' well that was fine til the sun went down today, it's soooooooo cold in the house now i'm gonna have to dig out my fingerless gloves!

i've just lit 7 long life tealights and i can feel a wee bit of heat from those so yay!

tonight i'm def putting the lounge and the hall heater on all night. i'd been contemplating just having the one on til i looked at the temp now... 1C feels like -3  no wonder i'm cold :p

i'm seriously wishing lakeland would deliver my heated airer, from what i've read in the reveiws several people use it as way of taking the edge off a room when it's really cold and since i have storage heaters some instant heat on occassion sounds really nice... right now would be perfect :rotfl:

hope you're all staying warm and safe... keep battening down those hatches, the abominable snowmans coming to get us!

I am also waiting for my heated airer from Lakeland! It should be delivered next week.
I have 3 sporty Boys who are complete dirt magnets so there is always lots of washing. But at the moment I am finding it really hard to get the washing dry. I am resisting buying a tumble dryer for cost and green reasons which is why I am really looking forward to getting the airer - sad as that sounds!

Claire64 I would be interested in hearing how you get on with your airer when it arrives, I've considered getting one. I've got 4 sports mad children and a lot of their stuff can't go in the tumble drier. I have rows of football, rugby and school pe kit hanging around not to mention all the sweatshirts and thermal stuff they wear under the shirts and shorts.

  • Hi, having just read back a few pages I noticed a few people saying about the "Lakeland heated airer" could you tell me if there was a special offer on this as its showing as £74.00 odd?

no offer that i'm aware of... but it does have 100's of very positive reviews

i'm planning to use mine to help take the edge off the cold in a little used room rather than using the heater in there and of course to dry the clothes :p no more drying laundry dominating my lounge :T

I have a Lakeland heated airer and tbh it is ok but not the answer to piles of wet washing! I still think an airer in front of the radiator does better.
The heated airer takes so long to get heavy things dry (like rugby shirts and jeans) that I wonder if it would actually be cheaper (not to say quicker) to use the tumble dryer for loads like that. For small light items it does the job.
As for heating the room , I can't see that it makes much difference especially as drying clothes produces such damp air.
