  • We tend to use metcheck, so far it seems to have been the most reliable.....

Does anyone know which is the most reliable, Netweather or Metcheck (if any)?

    Ta.

I personally prefer netweather. It seems like they update it most regularly where as metcheck I find updates less regularly but tends to change at the last minute. That is just my experience though!
  • Owww!! I want to prepare for snow too, I'm feeling left out..
I love the snowy days when nothing gets in or out, lifes little pleasures come flooding back, days spent baking, drinking hot chocolate and listening to the radio, curling up on the sofa with the kids under a duvet whilst watching a carry on film or like!!!
We never really get much snow here in Cornwall, but I used to love our snowy days when we lived in Derbyshire..:(

Could you just put some cling film and a rubber band over the top of them?

Even better - thank you :)

Does anyone know where I can buy some cheap sledges?
I have found some online but I am not happy to buy something from an online company that I know nothing about ( had a few bad experiances!)

I bought my kids sledges a few years ago before our winters got this bad, but it was nearly impossible to find them so I got ours from a scottish online store - they are fab. I think they were about £30ish but have lasted DS and Stepson, and now the twins :D We've def had our moneys worth over the past couple of years! They are in the loft atm but friend is coming to get them out for me this week :)
