    I don't welcome the snow but that is because my teen daughter commutes to and from uni 50 miles away four days/nights a week and i shall be paranoid with worry about her safety. Also i don't drive well on ice/snow and have to go to my parents regulalry to help care for Dad, last year a 10 minute journey to my parents took over 3 hours just because of ice on the roads.

    I've still got to make an extra fllece curtain to go between the glass front door and the existing velvet door curtain.

    Also, fleece curtains for our bedroom and the spare bedroom.

    And for the bathroom, although there is a blackout blind in there.

    :mad::mad::mad:

    When the weather is dull and gloomy, I don't even get out of my pyjamas and one day just runs into the next.:o I feel so down, when there is no sun.

    I had a really bad night last night with nerve pain down my right leg, so could fall asleep right now.:( If the rugby wasn't on, I would probably go back to bed. Taken a couple of Panadol.

    You sound just like me, I suffer SAD from October through to Feb....:eek: Its bad, dr told me not to waste money on a light box but to up my anti depressants til Feb, so thats what I do, it does make winter bearable with the extra tablets , I dread to think what id be like without extra tabs , Ive suffered this for quite a few years, and I hate it.....I do walk my dogs a bit longer when its winter to get out, but like you its a helluver struggle doing normal daily things...........I always say I could def hibernate til Feb...........:eek:

    Thanks Pagangirl:)

    My hubby got me some daylight bulbs for use in the front room, as that is where I spend most of my time. They shine on the wall directly oppostite me, but my God, I miss the sunshine. It is just so DAMP and GRAY.

    I am also on anti depressants, but not on a heavy dose.

    lol! Yes - you are right - more like get you excited! I'm looking forward to snow...although isn't great for DP's business so I shouldn't be excited - especially as he is the only one earning money at the moment!

    Yeah Shegar, I've had it for a long time too. I just lose the will to live. I am on other medication so am not on a heavy dose of anti depressants.

    Thank God for my Dh, cos he is retired and does things around the house that I cannot do and keeps me company and does try and cheer me up. Bless him.:)

    I don't even want to go out anywhere, me. :( I order things online and he gets things that I want from town.
    :kisses3::kisses3:

    I may go out once a week.

    I hope you feel okay this winter.:)

    Have a chat with your GP about upping your dose. Mine are doubled up for winter... still hard but better than on regular dose ;)

    Don't suffer in silence, its treatable to a degree (((hugs)))

    and lots of love and light to everyone else suffering with SAD :A

    prob need more longlife milk, and some crisps which i never buy but it will keep the kids quiet if we are stuck in.

    A couple of wooden spoons for the kids to make into 'people' when they are bored

    find the thermals (got the kids ready)

    omg i need to lag the outdoor tap :eek: Please don't let me forget that

    !!!!!! I HATE freezing conditions :(

    I need a hat. I look ridiculous in them, but I am beyond caring

    Need a couple of lanterns so i can pop one in the outhouse to (hopefully) just give off enough heat to stop the pipes freezing again :mad:

    Time to ramp up the winter preps folks

    Frugal,
    Thank god you mentioned cigs, the one thing I forgot to stock up on. I'm like a banshee without them.
