soon i'm going to take her curtains down and sew some bubble wrap inside the duvet cover along with the blanket i sewed in there earlier. this way the neighbors won't see it and complain it's unsightly, i should think it would help.

    :p

I would say s** the neighbours, they aren't paying your bills!

Since my last post earlier (having read the forecasts for this week ) I have

Bubblewrapped the glass on my kitchen outside door
Put up the fleece... I didn't have net curtain wire stuff so used string and now its sagging and you can see the glass in the middle of the sag! Still, it will do for a day or two (read month or two :D). Said fleece looks awful... its not long enough and looks like a right Heath Robinson job so once I get my curtains back I will fashion something or other from them.

I wish i'd got curtain tracks instead of poles as I have large gaps at the top and sides of my curtains - oh well, I will see whats the best way of extra lining the windows.

That's one thing i've learned 'living like this' is never buy a pole to hang curtains... and that's spoken from a girl who would only ever have chrome poles and fittings in a previous life. Can't beat snug and warm - even if my poles in the kitchen are Ikea 69p specials - they're a waste of time and money because of the draught element. Never again... ever.

    oh lovely :(

I sooooooooooo wish I could go abroad for 6 months of every year and avoid this vile, cold, wet weather.

I love the bright cold days, thats ok... But damp, windy and snowy... Noooooooooooooooooooo

Snow is fine for 3 days (coz the kids love it and it looks pretty) but after that its beyond a joke for me
