If you read the individual T/L reviews on Tripadvisor, you will find many of them highly critical of the "Bar Cafe" in terms of food quality, amount, presentation etc. Which is why I would normally advise people to use the nearest JD Wetherspoon pub for breakfast - open from 7am, better food and cheaper to (currently around £4 each for a cooked breakfast and tea or coffee). Of course the OP does not have this choice at MCR.0 -
EVERY place has it`s critics including JDW, who I frequent often and do eat there.
I use TL all the while on a regular basis up and down the country.
I have never ate in a "bar cafe" but have seen plenty of people in them having a meal.
I have also consulted "TripAdvisor" now and again and found many of the reviews complete tripe.
Maybe that`s what they should rename it.
Same with Shearings hotels, some people swear by them, others swear at them.
Each to their own, one man`s meat
As for TL, I will continue to use them because for what they charge they can`t be beaten.
All the moaners who say "they`ll never use them even at £9 a night"
GOOD, all the more cheap rooms for me.
Roll on the next £9 sale. :T
Incidently the last sale date was out of the usual pattern.
The next according to my list should be half way through October, though we`ll have to wait and see.0
