  • A little help from a more knowledgeable booker required please.

I am hoping to go to London in Feb (has to be w/c 21st as my partners boss is a s**t about time off)

Will this come up in a later sale do you think? Four nights at the moment looks like 160 ish. Really don't want to book if they are then gonna pop up in the next sale.

    Is this likley?
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

The current sale ends on 31st January, so yes, chances are there will be more rooms available in February in the next sale. Bear in mind you have to be flexible, if you want a specific lodge on a specific date it may not have availability, plus not all nights are discounted.

I'd say very likely. For the past two years I've never paid full price for any stay at a Travelodge. We have family who live in different places around the UK and we use Travelodge for visiting throughout the year, as well as going on mini-holidays to new places we want to explore. Provided you are reasonably flexible on days of the week, you will never have to pay more than £12.50! (The £9 ones go pretty quickly at the popular places). You just have to be patient and wait for the next 'batch' of cheap rooms to be announced. And February is a time of year when they will be desperate to fill the rooms, so they are likely to issue those before Christmas.

Yes, but to get 4 nights you may have to book each night seperately to get them at their cheapest

That is the half term week so will be very popular and I would say if there are any rooms in London they will go very quickly.

Thing to do would be make bookings for four separate nights at the lowest FLEXIBLE rate at the t/l of your choice now - then you can cancel them for a refund if the next sale gives you cheaper rates or if there are no sale rates forthcoming but a lower saver rate is available.

When looking through the T/L search engine always check the include disabled rooms box, and if your not too worried about travelling in/out of the central area by tube/train/bus some good prices are available now at places like Croydon, Feltham and Barking. (between £23 and £25 a night at saver rate).

As others have said, not many Saturdays or Central London T/Ls in any of the sales now though.

I manged to book 2nd - 5th Jan as a surprise for my grand daughter (She's always wanted to go there) 2 adults 1 child.
Now i've found out she & my OH are back to school on the 4th!
I thought you couldn't get a refund on the saver rooms?

It depends which rate you booked your room. If it was the sale or saver rate then you would not get a refund. If it was the full price flexible rate then no money would have been taken anyway and you could just cancel online or by telephone.

You could still take your grand daughter, just check out a day earlier. I have not had problems with that before but phone the TL just to be sure.

Thanks I did get it on the sale rate.
We would only be able to stay 1 night the 2nd & on the 3rd we would have to travel home for them to start on the 4th.
It would still be worth going for 1 night but it's the journey time that make's it not worth it, over 200 miles.
  • I managed to get one for newcastle in november :)
