I ordered a Dyson DC31 from Utopia this week, and I also got an e-mail saying there was a credit card problem, and could I pay by cheque/bank transfer. Like some other people I initially found this suspicious and I did some research which is how I came across this forum. I e-mailed John Ensinger, and told him of my concerns. He emailed me back the same day, and I subsequently ordered from him, with his assurances that he was genuine. The Dyson arrived 36 hours later in a factory-sealed box just like he said it would. I can only speak as I find, but I found this guy to be very helpful and trustworthy in respect of his dealings with me.
These forums are great for seeking out the many unscrupulous traders out there who are only too willing to rip people off. Equally, I think its also right to respond if there is something positive to say about someone's reputation. Hence this post.
