Utopia customer reps need permission to post. Can I suggest you contact them below otherwise you may get banned
MSE TEAM PERMISSION: CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENTS
Company representatives are actively encouraged to post on the forum to provide good customer service to MoneySavers. They should not be using the opportunity to tout for business. We need to know in order to legitimise it. Where permission has been given for a company/person to specifically post there will be a note from the MSE Team. If someone has posted claiming to have been given permission but this has not been followed by a MSE team note please report it to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -

I would agree with vikingaero - explains [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] why supposedly the items that do arrive, come in Amazon boxes.
My only surprise is that Amazon are in the drop shipper business (I know they do wholesale).
Jimimi also makes a good point about the the "successful" novices -and the psychology of posting a good review on forum such as this.
Never heard any more from Utopia about my order and cancellation [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]. Got mine eventually from Pixmania for a price not much different from my original order - expect prices to rise as we get closer to Christmas though, especially for popular items.
Yup - Pixmania have up'ed by £13 and Dixons by £12 - they'd sell their mother-in-law if they could (well maybe I would too).0 -
There are to many of you to name names but I had a similar experience - searched website and found that Utopia were offering best deal. Couldn't pay by credit card etc - £10 discount offered. I emailed Anthony explaining position about the comments on this website - he said that they were aware of these. He also said they sell about 1800 of these a week which is why they can sell them so cheap. If I paid by direct transfer or cheque I would get £10 discount - I also had looked them up at Companies House etc but decided to give them a chance so sent a cheque - registered post. Anthony contacted me to say that he had picked up my cheque and that he was shipping my dyson the following day - cheque had not even cleared. The following day I received another email with tracking details via City Link. Unfortunately due to the snow down here in Kent my Dyson only got to me today but all is fine - only funny thing was it came from Amazon as a Gift from John Ensinger (the guy who owns the company!). Anyway - I'm not asking any questions I got what I paid for a Dyson DC31 Animal for £99.99. Not sure I would go through the worry again but sometimes in life you have to give people a chance to prove themselves. Thank you Utopia for keeping to your word. :j0

I must disagree totally - I ordered a Dyson handheld animal from this company and yes, I did make a bank transfer because my credit card could not be used. After seeing the comments on this site I panicked and contacted Utopia Consortium and was reassured. Sure enough the cleaner arrived, despite the very adverse weather conditions, and at £95.00 definitely a bargain. I think the people who have place negative comments on the site should retract them as otherwise people will miss out on a bargain.0

I posted on here the other day that I felt I'd been conned by Utopia after ordering a Dyson Animal dc31 after reading the forum comments after growing concerned re the credit card issue and non-delivery of product. I deleted the post after chasing Utopia and finally getting through - I too sent threatening emails :-). They apologised via email that there was a delay due to the recent snow, and they emailed me a Fedex number (fair enough - but I still wasn't convinced). I checked the fedex number online and sure enough it had my name and tracking info. I finally received my Dyson yesterday brand new and boxed (not in Amazon packaging).
Point is I am just relieved to receive the goods and not to have that sinking feeling of being conned. Would I deal with Utopia again - absolutely not, their email and telephone support is woeful and unresponsive. The main concern I had was were are they out to con me, well I rang my credit card company and they are watching my account, they have no record of anything unscrupulous by this company. I think they are disorganised and have pitiful customer service but they are genuine. The credit card thing is ridiculous to say the least and probably the biggest single cause of distrust and concern amongst this forum - they need to sort that out and fast.
In summary, I don't know how Utopia's price for these goods can be so low, but they clearly don't invest very much in customer service . Normally I use Amazon, and for the stress/hassle I wish I still had used them and paid the extra £20 or so. But if you are willing to accept a bit of hassle and nervousness then you should get your goods from Utopia eventually. Their customer service is not the best, but I can 100% confirm I got my handheld.
My advice is don't order from Utopia, but if you already have you should get your purchase eventually if you keep on at them (phone and email)0 -

Oh dear, my post count is 1 - that means that I must be one of satan's pixies. This is my first and probably only post because after I had placed the order with Utopia. alarm bells started ringing and I did a google search for 'Utopia consortium complaints' and found this thread.
I thought I'd offer advice and hope to people who had ordered from Utopia Consorium by posting my experience. All this antagonism and distrust of first time posters - are we not allowed opinions then? As I mentioned lower down in my post and as other members of the axis of evil that are other newbie posters on this thread mention - WE WOULD NOT ORDER FROM UTOPIA CONSORTIUM AGAIN - IT WAS A MISTAKE - IT WAS STRESSFUL - THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WOEFUL - BUT WE DID GET OUR DYSONS.
So that is why my post count is.. um 1. Idiot0 -
