I think its hilarious how they all make out that it was such a dreadful worry and they wont ever do it again! but we all should...just the once (a bit like their posts)

    Spam fritter anyone??
  • I deleted the 'initial' post before anyone could have read it, because I thought I'd give it a couple of days before venting my spleen. So technically this was my first post, if you read the thread I did say I deleted the initial post, hence '1 post'. Is it that hard to understand?

All I wanted to do by posting is to give maybe someone who has already ordered a Dyson from them and who is worried, some hope and advice based on my experience - to ring them and email them repeatedly to hassle them. I also advised people that were perhaps thinking about ordering - to catergorically NOT order anything from Utopia Consortium. I thought I was being honest and balanced, but clearly I am an evil Utopia employee playing mind games with you all.

Thanks for the insults though - very amusing

wonder how the OP got on then..... he hasnt been back on singing the praises of utopia

dont think you are genuine cagedlion, i dont go buying things from places and then googling their names to see if there are problems and spring to their defence. And your post seems just like the other spam posts.

Fair comment loztiggy, you don't and I don't usually - I was an idiot

However, I don't recall springing to Utopia's defence - not even remotely. I was stupid because I broke my own rules of internet buying when I placed the order - namely I didn't do my research into the supplier first. The credit card and money transfer thing is very smelly and I felt sick and stupid after I'd set up the transfer. When I rang my bank they said the money had gone as a priority transfer I felt even sicker - I was 90% sure I'd lost the money. As I keep repeating, I would not order from Utopia again and do not advise anyone who is totally confused by the conflicting comments on this thread to order anything from Utopia (it is not worth the hassle).

All I am trying to do is give advice based on my experience to anyone who has already placed an order, is concerned and has had issues getting through to Utopia, and tell them that I did get my Dyson by hassling them, I appreciate there are some on here that may not have been so fortunate. If I could go back in time, for all the hassle and stress it was not worth the small saving - I would not place the order and arrange the transfer.

There is no way I can convince you that I am genuine. I have read some of the posts on here, and I'm not convinced that they are genuine either. I am just stating facts and my opinions - Utopia have awful customer service issues - when you ring you either get mailbox full, a message that does not mention the company name and when you do get someone answering the phone they usually don't mention the company name - it is not professional at all. Utiopia's response to email queries is even worse - after I'd paid the money their response to emails was woeful. The credit card/transfer thing is very smelly indeed, and I am watching my card statements very closely. I am still wary, but the fact is I did get the Dyson eventually (I'm sorry but I did).

What was the fedex tracking number they gave you? That might go some way to proving it.
  • I won't give out the Fedex number as it gives access to some personal details including my full name - to be honest I don't care whether complete strangers order from Utopia enough to share this confidential info online, although this may sound strange from someone stupid enough to set up a bank transfer to an unknown company :(.

I have taken a screenshot and used paint to erase some details but I can't work out how to post it as an image or attachment on here. If you can tell me how to post it, I will, but I won't give out the full delivery number as anyone can enter it and see my details. Queue the doubters,

I am trying to be helpful, I thought I could convince you. I surrender, I clearly can't.

I repeat, I would advise AGAINST anyone ordering a Dyson from Utopia and setting up a bank transfer, but for anyone who already has, chase them and I hope like me you do receive it eventually.

Perhaps I only got it because I moaned and harrassed them and they rely on a fair % of people not hassling them and righting their money off, so they take a loss on fulfilled orders (by ordering as gifts through Amazon or from other suppliers and paying more) but more than make up for this by not delivering to people who give up chasing and don't threaten them.
  • Hi guys,Ive read these pages with interest because ive ordered a dc31 from Anthony at Utopia.I ordered even after having read these comments because it seems people are getting the goods.I have spoken with him twice and he has called us back so i shall wait and see how it goes.

and let me guess seymour, in a few days youll be telling us how fantastic it is. thanks SO much for registering to post, just to tell us that.... were not stupid you know.
  • How do you know?? Maybe your not stupid but ive registered after seeing these threads no harm in that or are you a control freak! If i lose my £95 then i will advise others but i gambling on the fact i wont. I recon the company are getting orders in before buying in bulk thus the delay, i also recon the credit card malfunction ploy will soon stop cos people have got wind of it.
