Just some clothes - I bought some Angel Circle, a Danish designer, as a job lot earlier this year, and am trying to sell them on. Not doing too well as it was a free listing weekend, so the site is swamped. I've also got some clothes I have slimmed out of, and some I intend to slim out of!
Have made £53 so far! Not bad for a pile of stuff that was taking up wardrobe space!
What I meant was is there any recipe that is nicer with turkey mince? I would have thought it was a bit bland?
L xNO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
Turkey mince really needs a strong flavour to go with it - try burgers with chilli, or turkey chilli con carne? I always found when Mom made turkey burgers they (sorry if TMI) made me gag as they always tasted 'raw'. If you can 'marinade' then so much the better I think but don't have any receipes for you, sorry.0

Just back from WI...... A piffling 1/2 pound off for putting myself through the EXPERIMENT of days of reds whilst going through PMT :mad:
Gotta look on the bright side tho....Its gotta be a good loss next week when *week has been and gone surely
Hosp went ok (apart from the journey - as always,
I can never make the entire trip without yacking at least 3 times even with industrial strength vertigo pills and sea-bands)
Im now fully botoxed up again in my face and neck for another 3 months so the spasms wont get chance to start up too badly......I still ask for a bit for the wrinkles everytime I go but ive not been lucky yet ;)lol:rotfl:
One last hospital trip tomorrow.....Pinderfields wakefield to be re-scanned post op and see the rehab team....(1 1/4 hr each way) Its been a busy old week for me, Poor OH he said today he needs another week off work now to make up for all the driving me to the appointments:o

so didnt even get chance to freeze some for another nights 'conveinience'. Not that it takes long to cook.
I liquidised the sweed n sweet potato mash and added a bit of spread and a drop of milk and as someone suggested put some grated cheddar on top before serving. It was lush!
He asked what we were having tomorrow and I said jacket spud with beans n sasauges n cheese (for him, I have tuna, sweetcorn and mayo with cheese n spring onions n chives). He sounded very dissapointed so I said I can rustle up something else if he wanted me to but I am going out so it wouldnt be much, he said no it was ok but could still hear the disapointment in his voice at such a boring dinner:rotfl:
If it helps I had to make tonights dinner twice cos I burnt the first lot :mad:luckily I had enough ingredients in for it, but got to go shopping as I used up Saturdays stuff now.
Thanks everybody.
what were the 9 veggies you managed to get in the cottage pie ?0 -
Evening all, well done for all the losses
Back and rested from c25k week one run two! :jWas harder than the first one to start with, but it got easier. Worst thing was that the park was full of football teams so I ran through the trees in the near dark because I felt so self conscious :rotfl:will change my running days next week to my early finish days
B porridge 1/2 heb and 1/3 hea skim milk
L leftover risotto from last night with extra tomatoes
D spaghetti with bacon (fat removed), tomatoes, carrots, butter beans and courgettes
Banana and I think I need to have an apple to hit the superfrees again. Not hungry tho!

I didn't have all the syns I listed in the end for yesterday either, didn't eat the twix so was 5.5 down

blackberry-rum wrote: »Takeiteazy, re the potential stress with son, have you tried using Rescue Remedy? It comes now in many forms (as well as the old alcohol-based 4 drops on the tongue!
) including pastilles (sugar free, I checked!) and gum. It just herbally calms you a little when things begin to scramble - I often have a quick splosh or chew when I get in from work and the neighbours knock the door, the cats want feeding, i have shopping to unpack - and all I really want to do is just Sit Quietly for A Moment
it's not much to ask! I can recommend Rescue Remedy
I too am a fan of Rescue remedy
My mum once bought (many many moons ago) some rescue cream for me when my son (now 20) had terrible nappy rash....nothing would touch it-but that cream cleared it ! amazing stuff.
I use the rescue stuff from the little dropper bottle now and swear by it for its calming effect:D.....It has the same effect on my stress levels that a good few vodkas or a bottle of decent red used to have :rotfl:0 -
Turkey mince is Ok mixed with beef or pork mince to make chilli's, spag bol type meals.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0
