    5lb off!!! :j.

    Well done you!!!
I have 5 stone to lose:eek: so it's an almighty amount, there is no time limit or rush, I will just be sensible and try every day to stay away from the goodies that got me to this fat place!

welcome hun. I have about the same to lose, maybe a bit more. I started 5 weeks ago and have lost 15lbs so far.
Quorn mince is BOGOF at the moment in Tesco (500g) and they have a 'free' recipie book offer on special packs which I am going to get 1. :)

If you have a farmfoods shop nearby the quorn mince is £1.49 for the 500g bag (or at least it is here!).

Oh dear I have a fairy confession to make :o last night I caved and bought a pizza from Tesco, and had it with potato salad, and then had a Twirl AND a packet of crips!:eek: I was feeling so ill with this cold and popped to Tesco for tablets and got sidetracked by the food fairies. And do you know what, I could barely taste it anyways :(. Also I've not been to gym this week cos I've not been feeling well. So have given myself a kick up the rear and am back on plan today. I'm a bit worried as I am on leave next week, and if I stray now then I'll go mental next week and fall completely off wagon. So I need to be 100%.

    Green day:

B - magic porridge - oats (HEB) and activa ff yog plus strawberries
    L - salad, coleslaw (4syns), 2 x HB egg
D - cheese pie - mashed spuds with cheese (2 x HEA), marg (2syns), peas, RS ketchup (1syn)
    Snacks - strawberries, banana
Drinks - coffee, water, NAS squash

    Total syns = 7

It was early this morning, a newbie had posted on all the weightloss threads about a website to buy protein powder etc

  • I burnt my risotto:( That'll teach me to forget about things! I have some pasta n sauce so will have that later. I tried a little of the risotto and it was nice except the burnt aftertaste:o

    Oh dear! How annoying.

Turkey mince - they have it on Ocado who I do my shopping with. It is £1.99 for 500g. I have ordered it to give it a try - what is the best thing to do with it?
Quorn products are 3 for £5 on there too - I don't eat it as I am sensitive to yeast and it is a mushroom derivative.

Had a good food day today - dynorod soup, ham and an ornage for lunch. That soup certainly does what is says on the tin!

I got home to some sticky spare ribs that my hubby had done - they were quite nice and syn free apart from a tablespoon of honey.

Just had the ribs and a jacket potato and peas. We have discovered that solero lollies are 5 syns so we are having those as a treat at the moment.

I think with the honey in the ribs, spread on the spud and my solero I am probably up to 13 syns today now.

Off to check some stuff I have got on ebay - been having a big clear out!

    Hey ho

I am soooooooooo tired, having trouble concentrating.

Blackberry - thanks for that, will give it a try. Am so fed up being stressed all the time.

Trixie - WTG fantastic loss :j

Cous Cous loaf - not as interesting as it sounds :o I adapted it from morrisons cheesy cous cous frittas.
Cous cous [about 250g], any super frees you have [ I used onions, chilli flakes, toms, mushrooms] eggs to bind.
Make up cous cous with oxo, sweat off the veg with frylight [I use olive oil in a spray], when c/c is cool add veg mix and bind with couple of eggs, put in loaf tin, bung in oven for 20/25 mins.
I slice mine and have for my lunch, very 'meaty'.
Use any amount you like really, could add HEa worth of cheese too.

    Food today:
    B - weetabix , milk [a], coffee
L - mugshot, cous cous loaf, toms, crisps [5]
T - left over quorn bolog, sw wedges, oil spray [2],
Snacks - apple, banana, muller, pineapple, melon, meringue [2.5]
    syns - 9.5

I make my tomato/herb mugshot the night before so by morning it has soaked up liquid and is more a pasta meal than soup. I love it, only one I really like though.

Well after my scary red day binge yesterday (60+ syns) I've had a no syns day today (green rather than red though!) and haven't been hungry or wanted any. Just eating a plate of pasta, beans & cheese (HEax2) & got a few SW chips prepped for snack later ;)
Hopefully I should be abe to even out the damage a tad! :o
Wanted to make that roulade thing but couldn't find any Quark anywhere :(

    Hi All,

    Can I join you.

Lost loads on SW - around 5 stone about 10 years ago, have gradually put most of it back on through a combination of laziness (food wise), lack of forethought for lunches for work, lots of alcohol, back operation and underactive thyroid.

Joined a local class 2 weeks ago - lost 6lb first week then 1.5 lb at WI last night. I have about 4 stone to lose, well now 3 1/2 and seem to get on best with red. I tend to have very low syns through week and ridiculous amounts of bacardi at a weekend - I'm off on holiday to eqypt in November so hope to have lost a least another stone by then.

    Best wishes to you all.
