Am using Quorn mince in a con carne for me on Saturday while hubby has his pepperoni pizza.
Quorn mince is BOGOF at the moment in Tesco (500g) and they have a 'free' recipie book offer on special packs which I am going to get 1.
thanks for letting me know! Is it just me or does anybody else find some Quorn things a bit pricey?
I love Quorn sausages, smash and instant gravy for a quick but filling tea. NOMNOM!
If anybody is around the Newcastle area theres a butchers called Joe's Sauages and from what i saw on his flyer his sausies are no syns or very low syns. I'll try and find a flyer. but they are supposed to be really really tasty.[STRIKE]0.5 st[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]1st[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]1.5st [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]2st[/STRIKE] 2.5st 3st 3.5st 4st 4.5st 5st :j0 -

They are pricey, I think the 500g bag of Quorn mince was over £2 a bag.Which was why I tool advantage of the BOGOF offer as I was going to get the 300g but their not on offer, plus the 500g has the recipie book offer on them.
It makes me so annoyed to think the healthy stuff costs more than the non healthy stuff, which to me is encouraging unhealthy eating, especialy with the kids faves at around £1 at the moment. Tis the same in pubs where the smaller non alcoholic drinks cost more than the alcoholic ones, not a good way to promote sensible drinking, and the latest bug bear is petrol stations selling alcohol, hardly an encouragement not to drink and drive ! :mad:Failure is only someone elses judgement.

Just had a pack with my afternoon coffee, totally hit the spot:p:p
Syns for the day are at 6.5, 5.5 for the animal biscuits and 1 for pickle on my roll at lunchtime.
I have mushroom risotto in the oven - thank you to whoever posted the recipe, cant remember who it was! Will have it with some steamed brocolli mixed in. Would have been nice with parmesan shaving but i've run out.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
