I came home from Hosp Cold to the Bone & Starvin ungry!! (that wind has fair whipped up....nearly had old wobbly pants over:eek:)
Anyway it put a spanner in the works for my red meal plan (that and PMT:mad:) I was soooo hungry when I got in and really didnt fancy waiting around for a stir fry that quite frankly didnt contain the carbs that todays Physio required - ball catching (only yacked once;)), 360 degree turns(yacked everytime:o) and walking baby steps without support again...(:T)
sooooo I decided to make a quick pack of AH chilli cous cous tom, cucumber, onion, lettuce, cold chicken & yog&mint sauce.......and demolished the LOTEE day and loving it :rotfl:
We are having a late Tea of Spag bol (loaded with superfrees from the freezer.....& PASTA0 -
I'm having spag bol with quorn for my tea.... lost 2lb today so total weightloss in 3 weeks is 7.5lbs! very happy with that as ive been ill and not been particularly on track. I only want to lose a stone before nov 5th (although my ideal target is over 2 stone i think) so just need to keep up my enthusiasm and motivation!
hugs to everyone that needs them xx
PS just made and tried my spag bol... it's a bit bland even though Im sure I put lots of garlic and salt and pepper in there. Might need to add another tin of tomatos as the bag I used has made quite a lot. Anyone got any ideas or things they use to help flavour it up a bit?Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

add another stock cube? Put in a good handful of fresh herbs or a spoonful of dried herbs? Couple of dashes of Worcester sauce? sprinkling of chilli powder? Spoonful of tomato puree? Teaspoon of Marmite? All of the above? It sometimes help to simply cook it for longer too, until it gets really thick and tomatoey. I confess I'm no expert on bolognaise (don't like it) but any tomato sauce is better for cooking a little longer than you think it needs, in my experience.
:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Thanks! I forgot worcester sauce... and I think I need more tinned toms.... hate marmite and don't have any herbs (that I can see) but I think the toms and maybe some more stock or garlic might do it.:DBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

well done on the loss
when I do my spag bols I always use a carton of passata aswell as the tinned toms & 1/4 tsp sweetner as toms can be bitter (it seems to have more flavour this way) I also use chicken stock cubes or chicken bovril....this seems to help with the blandness
also fine chopped celery & carrot add flavour & great for superfee0 -
sorry, what is the dyno rod soup?
It's a recipe for a soup which uses loads of speed foods/veg and has the added advantage of helping the consumer if they are having trouble with the erm, bowels (which is the reason it's been christened Dynorod soup, lol)!
Speed food Soup (syn free on Green and EE)
1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils (or handful of dried)
2 cans chopped tomatoes
1 can baked beans
Handful of split lentils
2 large leeks
1 large onion
4 medium carrots
2 parsnips
1 each green, red and yellow peppers
2 vegetable stock cubes
Salt pepper
Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)
Chop all vegetables. Put them and everything else into a large pan, cover with water, bring to boil and simmer until vegetables are soft (about 30 mins). Once cooked, the soup can be left chunky or blended smooth.
Freezes well!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time at the moLook after yourself and try not to add to the stress by worrying about your food intake.
