    B - 28g fruit and fibre n Milk
    L - Cheese and brocolli pasta n sauce (.5)

I feel like i've lost half a stone by just worrying....

Hoping to be back around soon but can't face much right now.

  • Afternoon all

((hugs)) to those who are ill or down

I'm feeling a bit better today, still starving though! I have uni this afternoon so have popped home from work to make lunch. I'm having jacket spud, and am taking couscous salad to uni to have if we get a break (it's first day so I'm not sure yet!). I may well be naughty and have a takeaway tonight :o we shall see how I feel after uni.

  • Afternoon,

Hugs Vixie Pixie, no wonder you are stressed!

DD is off school today, she is ill and had to take her to doctors. Got Antibiotics for chest infection - weather has changed so this is number 1 of the season. Will see how many we get this year. She has been hospitalised 8 times in less than 2 years with pneumonia, plus a handful of other chest infections that have been treated with anti-bs in the house. Thankfully i think we have caught this one in time, before it gets too nasty! So we are having a quiet day.

    Food for the day

Breakfast 1 weetabix (1/2 HeB), shape zero yog and a coffee with milk from HeA
Snack cup of tea with milk from allowance, alpen light(1/2 Hea), banana
Lunch Quorn burger (2.5) and WM roll (HeB), squirt of ketchup(1)
Snack Melon - if it is ok, i have had it for about 3 weeks so will open it and see what it is like. Maybe a yog
Dinner Dyno rod soup with pasta and my cheese allowance.

So that will be Both HeA +B and 3.5 syns

Anyone know of a Corned beef hash type recipie ? Preferably with spuds not beetroot please.

Also a recipie for a nice warming thick n chunky casserole (never made casserole or stew before :o but got meat or mince to use up next week which is always useful as their both easy to liquidise and turn into soup as well) please.

And finaly I couldnt beleive it last night when I went to Tesco and tried to find fresh turkey mince there was none to be seen! Made me feel I was going mad as if it never existed (although I didnt think to look in the freezers, always prefer my meat fresh).

Thanks have a good afternoon everybody. :)

  • Hey all,

Lost 5lbs this week! But i did put on 6lbs last week - so happy that i nearly got it all off!

Starting to worry about going back to the doctors to get more vouchers cos overall i have put on 2lbs in 12 weeks! (5 since 6 week check up!) and we are supposed to loose 5kg in 12 weeks to get more vouchers (11lbs) I just hope the doctor is nice to me with having the wedding etc.

Still loving my green days and those worrying about having takeaways - i had 2 last week and still managed to loose! I always loose weight when i have one or two takeaways a week - i tend to stick to chinese though and have a chicken chow mein (7) plain boiled rice and either a chicken omelette (4 +heb) or sea spice chicken or chicken with teryaki sauce (about 5 syns ish!) I am quite friendly with my chinese so ask them to change the food slightly for me e.g. the chicken with teryaki sauce is normally in batter - i ask for it without! Worth asking your takeaway people to change things to suit SW! (make it a little more friendly)

I am hoping to loose 4lbs next week to get me back to the weight i was before the wedding! Fingers crossed x

Meal plan today Green (as always)

B - Banana, strawberries, raspberries & ff vanilla onken
L - Tesco tomato & onion pasta with carrots, mushrooms, butter beans and quorn sausages
D - probably quorn chilli again - might have SW wedges with it or rice
S - Quorn fajita strips, hi-fi bar (heb)

Drinks - Water , Coffee with milk (hea)

Still have heb, hea and syns to use - either will have some scan bran with quark & lemon curd topping .... maybe peanut butter ..... or will have pagen crisprolls with my dinner with hea cheese melted on top mmmmmmm

Syns will be some form of chocolate! Not sure what though! Got plenty at home in the fridge and freezer!

    Well done to all x

I am going bankrupt in January,i have to save for the fees and stuff but have looked into it seriously and its really ok,the people that love me don't care and those that would look down their noses at me for being a bankrupt i don't care about anyways! and i've been public here about it to show you and yours support over a sh*tty situation

the alternative is debt management? they are really excellent and will look after all the phone calls etc that come all through the day,or you could focus on the plate instead of the crumb, how long do you have to live? (just ride with me with this one?) then divide your debt amongst the weeks/months of your life,is that easier to deal with when its £8 per month?

sending you hugs, truly, but when he realises what is important, that its you, your family and how you raise the kids then he will see that the small matter of debt is just a splinter that hurts every so often, but is totally manageable

and don't worry about your eating plan! have that mars bar if it makes you feel better! chocolate is full of 'happy' chemicals and whatever gets you through, then get back on plan when you are able. pm me if i can help further, this IS something you WILL get through, believe me xxxxxxxx
  • Anyone know the syn value for pink and whites?
Weigh in tonight, I know it is naughty but I have been looking on my scales at home and it varies so much day to day (variety of about 4lb). Not a clue why most of the time. Here's hoping it goes in the right direction !

oooh Vixie -I hope things settle down for you soon ...

£note -I have copied you my recipe for cornedbeef hash from the grocery thread-there are no quantities as you adjust to suit your own tastes. It always a winter staple in this house -now Im SW-ing I will do it on Green days as I won't have to pay for peas, potato or parsnips that way and then i can just syn the corned beef (5syns for 100g if I remember correctly) -oohh and I WILL be adding dumplings to mine or making a yorkshire pud to put it in mmmmmm

I make cornedbeef hash by :-
chopping up peeled potatoes, chunks of carrot, swede, parsnips and onions -throw them in a huge pan and add water -put the lid on and cook until everything is tender -then bail out some of the liquid if there is too much don't want it to sloppy (keep it in a jug though in case you want to add more later ;) )... add a tin of corned beef (cut into chunks)and a tin of marrowfats and leave to carry on cooking with the lid part off so the liquid reduces down.. plenty of seasoning and then I add dumplings...

Drop the dumplings in and put the lid on for about 10 mins then roll them over and put the lid back on for 10-15 mins -if you get 2 forks and pull one apart gently it should be fluffy inside
there should be loads left and it will thicken as it cools... the following day either re-heat or i remove all the solids into a pie dish and top with a crust -any left in the pan gets the stock added back to it and blitzed and you have a thick tasty soup too :D ..its a meal i had on a regular basis as a kid and still a fave :T

    hope you like :D
