Morning all, hugs to those who are ill or struggling (or both!). WI for me tonight and I'm dreading it after 2 weeks off plan! I haven't been as bad as I could be but still not great!

Last night I made the lamb dhansak from the new magazine.....it was yummy, I'd highly recommend it. We didn't have any peppers in so I just left them out and added some spinach instead to up the superfrees. If you like a hot curry I'd recommend adding some chilli as it was very mild but very tasty! It's not the most MSE recipe ever though as lamb is soooooo expensive! I guess you could buy a cheaper cut and cook it for longer though.

Today I'm having a fairly good day but won't be sticking to plan exactly as I have one last pitta to eat up. I'll be back on plan, and filling in my diary, tomorrow like a good little SWer!!!

    Morning all

After some advice, please - what's the best thing to have in Nandos?

I was thinking 1/4 chicken, rice and sweetcorn - would that be ok? I'm on EE and those things are all free so the only syns would be in the seasoning/flavouring/oils, etc??? Am I right?

I'm also going to the cinema - considering getting some lollypops as usual, I think they are 2 syns each for chupa chups. Last much longer than pic n mix!!

    Thanks

EE meal plan is as follows:
    1 clementine
cup of tea with milk and raisin wheats with milk (1/2 hea and heB)
2 egg omelette with mushrooms, onions and bacon bits (fat cut off) and a bit of low fat cheese (1/2 heA)
    Mugshot
    pinapple (fresh)
    Nandos - syns?
    Cinema sweets - 4 syns

Hi h007, that's a really good start, not everyone has huge losses in first week but stick at it and you'll be fine. Pick up a bag of sugar and think you've lost 1/4lb more!!!! Good luck for next week.

thanks, its just that everyone else that started last week were loosing 4 or 5lbs and i was feeling left out!

evening all, hope all colds (including mine) miraculously disappear overnight. Green is currently my least favourite colour and I don't mean the green plan :(

Well I made it with a dash to weigh in, got my PIN, put 1.5 lbs on (I deserve it; at least as much as I deserve the jelly babies I treated myself to yesterday) but still within target ... and the GOOD NEWS IS ..... if you are within target and put weight on you don't get that awful patronising message! Instead they say people just don't know how hard it is to maintain (especially on a diet of jelly babies ;)). Anyhow, as I secretly want to lose another stone, I am going to write everything down next week in my online diary. It's rather too easy to kid yourself that if it isn't written down you didn't have it, also I keep forgetting to have my HEB.

Best wishes to all, I hope DizzyK's journey wasn't too bad.

Funny you should say that.....I was varying shades of green on the journey home :o ......hope you're cold is easing up a bit?....its certainly doing its rounds at the moment x

First WI and I've lost 2lb. It's movement in the right direction, I guess, but I lost 6lb in week 1 last time I did SW. :( Anyway, will see if I've turned into a fortnightly loser and may have a better loss this week - am determined not to view it as a negative - it's far too early for that!! :D

    Today's meal plan: (EE)

B - wholemeal roll (HEB), 2 scrambled eggs, handful of mushrooms
L - More of last night's risotto, Zero yogurt
D - huge veggie & chicken stirfry. Another yogurt

HEA - skim milk in drinks

Will try and avoid the biscotti tonight for syns and have some stewed or tinned fuit as syns instead :)

    Have a good day :D

well folks - I had a tootle out to the supermarket early this morning and got a bit more fruit and milk...

so having pondered I have settled on the following as my 3rd day of Green:-
    • apple
    • nectarine
    • apple
    • 56g oats + 2 ryvita** (B+B)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • raspberries
    • banana
    • activia (2.5)
    • nectarine
    • melon
    • pasta
    • pasta sauce made from :-
    • 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
    • onion
    • garlic
    • peppers
    • fresh tomatoes all blitzed together
    • Mushrooms
    • peas
    • sweetcorn
    • 7g fresh parmesan (1.5)
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • 2 ryvita**
    • 1 laughing cow light (1.5)
    • crunch corner yoghurt (4)
    So thats 2A+Bs and 10.5syns :D
looks a bit odd-but as I was out early shopping I only had fruit -so Im having a double bowl of porridge with nana and raspberries for lunch nomnomnom (it seemed an easy way to use up my heBs) so I don't have to fit as much in later ;) although my meal plan still looks like a shopping list :p...

Well I had better get off and catch up with everything
Have a great day everyone and keep up the great work :D
