  • Im really struggling on green days and thats all im having....have gone veggie for two weeks because i just dont understand this extra easy....cant afford to go to class so just following the info i have. If anyone can help it would be great

Extra Easy - 1/3 of your total food intake should be superfree i.e 1/3 veggies or fruit. Potatoes don't count as superfree.

Anything that is free on green (rice, pasta, couscous) and free on red(lean meat, fish) will be free on extra easy.

You are only allowed 1 HeA and 1 HeB on extra easy.

That is as i understand it. If i have missed anything let me know peeps.

  • I'm doing another green day here. I love green days - i struggle with the 1 HeA and B on EE.

Breakfast Muller light, banana, Alpen light (1/2 HeB), Coffee with milk from HeA
    Snack Plum, kiwi, grapes
Lunch Baked potato and baked beans, apple, alpen light (1/2 HeB), 2 squares galaxy cookie crumble (4.5)
Snack muller light, coffee with milk from HeA
Dinner Quorn burger(2.5) on a WM roll (HeB), SW chips, 28g cheese HeA and maybe a squirt of ketchup (1)

so both HeA and B used and 8 syns used. Will maybe have some chocolate later...

Struggling with fruit - I'm not a fruit fan. May stew some as a HE today - that'd be a nice pud after dinner. Leaves me some syns for more biscotti :)

Stewed fruit is not syn-free :( You can use it as a HEB or syn it if you prefer.

A mini naan is 8 if it is plain or 8.5 if it is garlic/coriander. That is for a 60g portion.

can i ask - what do people think of eating the same food for half the week? will a lack of variety slow down the weight loss?
i only cook for myself and made a huge veggie pasta on saturday. filling out my weeks food diary i realised i ate it for 4 days in a row!!

It may or may not slow your weight loss - it rather depends on the individual. It's always better (nutritionally speaking) to have as varied a diet as possible, but it is obviously more difficult for someone cooking for one.

I wouldn't worry about it too much just make sure you have plenty of superfree foods along with whatever you eat and if your weight loss isn't as good as you might hope, consider freezing the left-over foods for a later date so that you're only having the same thing a couple of times a week :)

It was the smaller bar, not the family sized one, so it is bigger squares. I put the whole thing through the syn calculator and it was 14.5 syns so i just divided that by 3 to get my 2 chunks syn value.

    Ok -ladies ....

Im now understanding how those of you trying a RED week after doing mainly green or EE are feeling hungry
As you know Im on day 2 of green and OMG Im sick of eating :o
and I still have 3 ryvitas, 2 laughing cow light and a crunch corner yoghurt to eat -- oh and that takes me to 12 syns used and I swear Im just not hungry!!!!
on red days I never felt hungry and now I feel fit to bust.... will be interesting to see what Sunday brings.... :rotfl:
