Red day for me.....Another trip to Hospital over at leeds (its an hour drive each way so not looking forwrd to the journey.....travelling brings on the vertigo badly) and I somehow dont think we will be having the top down on the car today
Anyway OH is Off all week now so he is doing |SW friendly fry up for brekkie bacon egg toms mushroom.
Lunch this will be early due to hosp (and hope I keep it down in the car lol) chicken, ham, egg salady bits tom, lettuce, cucumber yog&mint sauce.
Tea Absolutely no idea yet! but I suspect it will be more chicken done in the griddle pan with left over cauli & carrot swede from last night (withHEA mad cow deli light cheese melted on top yummy)
HEB x2 fibre plus bars tonight after 8pm
syns 3 squares dairy milk bubbly 3.5 not sure what else yet0 -
Today's food plan is: (EE)
B- bacon, scambled egg, beans and a mountain of mushrooms - fancied something hot and woke up v hungry
L - stirfry veggies (have no frylight until onlne grocery order arrives so will try in water and soy, otherwise will syn 1/2 tsp oil) with chicken & rice
yogurt
D - oven baked chicken & mushroom risotto with a huge side of sauteed spinach
Hmm - lots of rice and mushrooms today! Still, it's a bit chilly and that always makes me want carbs - and the risotto is yummy, rib sticking stuff (and will have some for lunch tomorrow, too, probably)
Struggling with fruit - I'm not a fruit fan. May stew some as a HE today - that'd be a nice pud after dinner. Leaves me some syns for more biscotti

Good Morning everyone,
Went to my second group meeting yesterday, and have lost 1.5lbs this week. I know it's not much - but I'm very happy with this, considering that I've had a few too many syns.

Morning. A v pleased as I've stuck with the plan for 6 days and lost 1.5lb already, despite having to have a flexi day on Sunday for the cake I was bought!
Another EE day for me today:
2 cementines and a banana
2 egg omlette with bacon, onion and mushroom. bit of ketchup (1.5 syns) small bit of low fat cheese (1/4 heA)
2 cups of tea with splash of skim milk (1/4 heA - from a measured out jug)
chicken noodle mugshot
half a dime bar (4 syns)
green thai chicken curry - ingredients:
chicken (free) tsp Bart's green curry paste (1.0) half a sachet of coconut (4.5) skim milk (1/2 heA) total 0%, green peppers, green beans, red onions (all free) and plain boiled rice (free)
highlights hot choc for dessert (2.0)
total syns: 13
My wholewheat bread has gone mouldy and gone in the bin!! so i am at a loss for a HEB - I could have ryvita but i have no idea what to have on top - usually have mad cow triangles, but they've all gone! Any suggestions for alternative toppings or alternative HEBs??????Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

They are so much cheaper than supermarkets, but if not, you could try shopping either soon after the shops open or late in the day when they price stuff down. With veg, always go for the cheaper, seasonal ones rather than those that are specially grown out of season.
Tescos have offers on pears (£1 a bag) and celery (50p a head) at the mo and I'm sure others have similar offers.
on the topic of cheap fruit and veg, can i suggest LIDL and ALDI
Amazing bargains, sometimes up to 70% off!
I also find it helps to limit the fruit you buy - I think veg is easier to use up in dinners (eg chop carrot up small and put it in some chilli) but fruit often goes off quickly and doesn't get eaten fast enough.
I tend to allow myself 2-3 fruits per week - eg. this week i have pineapple, bananas and oranges. Next week I might have apples and grapes. It saves money as you dont have to buy loads of fruit each week and also mixes the variety up week on week to stop you getting bored of one kind of food.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

i was freezing this morning so i gave in and got a coffee at starbucks. but was pleasantly surprised to find a tall skinny cappacinno is only 3 syns.
can i ask - what do people think of eating the same food for half the week? will a lack of variety slow down the weight loss?
i only cook for myself and made a huge veggie pasta on saturday. filling out my weeks food diary i realised i ate it for 4 days in a row!!
1st weigh in tonight - fingers crossed0 -
Thanks psychopathbabble. I was expecting to stay the same, but the 1.5lb loss has spurred me to continue with the meetings. I stayed for Image Therapy, and I really did feel better by the end of it. Hoping for a 2lb loss next week0

I do the same as it's only me I'm cooking for, and occassionally my flatmate. It would just be too much money otherwise and our freezer is really small! I can't see that it would impact your weightloss but I don't know. Thanks psychopathbabble. I was expecting to stay the same, but the 1.5lb loss has spurred me to continue with the meetings.
