Does anyone have a recipe for the roll thing that has been mentioned - 0.5syn for the lot? I don't often make sweets as it's only me that would eat them and for 40 syns for the lot I can think of better things to eat, but this sounds nice!
    Thanks

  • After spending half a lifetime saying I'd never pay for water, I've become a real convert to sparkling water.

I have it chilled and in a wine glass and kid myself it's wine:rotfl:

If you ask for soda water in a pub as opposed to mineral water, you'll often find that it's free. Ask for ice and lemon and it's fine.
  • Thanks everyone for hubbys congrats, I'm in 2 minds as its cocked up sons travel plans for college i.e hubby took him, now he'll have to get 2 buses there and back :o oh well I'm sure it'll be worth it.

    What are cantuccini?

    x

Biscotti - SO-OOO yummy. I like making them, too - and snaffle them all up asap. I'm rationing this lot out!:D

Can anyone help me with a syn value for homemade chicken stock? I've scraped all the fat off (took a thin layer of the jelly off too to make sure). I really fancy chicken & mushroom risotto tomorrow (easy oven bake method) and am prepared to forgo the wine for syns - but I don't want to use a stock cube - not as yummy (and I also have about 20 blocks of stock in my freezer!:rotfl:) I'm just hoping it'll be magically free....:p

I found my old post about it and copied the recipe over for you......tis very very yummy and easy!

got a nice recipe for fruit roulade 0.5 syn for the whole lot we sampled some.....it was very yummmmmmm.

If you wanted to use a few more syns you could get a tub of greek style ff yogurt and a satchet of the white choc option (dont know if youve tried doing that but for 2 syns it tastes like dream topping ! )

    1 tub Quark 4 eggs
1 Tsp Baking Powder 4 tbspn Sweetener
    Vanilla essenrence Fresh fruit

    Seperate the eggs

Add the yolks, half the quark, baking powder, sweetener & essence to a bowl and whisk together - set aside.

Whisk the egg whites until stiff. Whisk half into the mixture, then fold in the other half.

Using a swiss roll tin spray with frylight (line it with grease proof paper 1st so it doesnt stick) pour in the mixture & bake at 180 for 15-20 min. leave to cool.

Remove from tin when cool, spread the quark evenly, add finely chopped fruit. Roll from one end Slice to serve.

Good advice.....But I cant do anything bubbly tho because of the side effects of the anti seizure meds :( It just tastes soooooo vile you wouldnt believe! its a real pain in the bum. pity it doesnt make choc taste so bad :rotfl:

I know it does work when you stick to it (I lost 3.5stone in 5 months the first time I did SW) but I'm finding it very hard to stay on the straight & narrow this time - there seems to be syns in everything!
