I used to love the rosemary conley mushroom stroganoff from the old "hip & thigh" diet.

Heres a more up to date version, would be just syn for the flour if you discount the white wine.

I used to love this in a jacket potato (F) or in a large yorkshire p ud ( again synned for SW)

Might make this tomorrow :) yum!

Am I missing something here? Is there supposed to be a linkie or something?:p

  • Diane - If you like cous cous you could try making the 'loaf' I make. Its just plain cous cous mixed with any superfrees you fancy [I used loads of onion as got 5kg of them :p], any spices/herbs/garlic/chilli etc bind with a couple of eggs, in a loaf tin, in oven for 20ish mins. Makes a nice 'meaty' snack/meal. You could probably use Ainsleys & syn it though, could even add HEa of cheese too. I adapted this from a morrisons recipe for cheesy cous cous frittas [thanks Carmen x] cos didn't want to get hands messy :p:rotfl:.

    Food today:
B - oops had lazy morning and 'forgot' [bad girl, bad girl]
L - roast beef, yorkie puds x3 , cauli, cabbage, carrots & onion roasted in oven, pots, peas, thick gravy [was stuffed after]
    T - bowl of melon
Syns - loads :rotfl:but loads superfree too :D

Had no HEs what so ever, oh dear! Oh well fresh day tomorrow.

  • Woohoo! :j I've done my at home WI, and despite it being my star week, I've lost 2.5lbs this week :j which brings me to a grand total of 1stone 1lb in 5 weeks :D. (I need one of the super duper all dancing smilies!!)

I can't believe how well I'm doing this time round on SW, I have been 100% the whole time bar one day where I went over by 10syns (but was still within weekly limit).

I've still got a long way to go but I'm pleased it's working so far. I've really got my head in the zone :) and I've even noticed I'm a bit less chunky than before!

Hope you all have good days

  • Hi Everyone, hope you are all well at the start of this shiney new week:)
I've decided to take the lunge and try to start following SW using the books I have at home (which are a bit old but will do me for now). I'm not having my blood test until the 21st for the doctor to refer me and I think if I wait til then I may lose my momentum!
I'm going to try EE because it sounds like it may do what it says on the tin. So today I have brought to work with me, 3 apples and 3 bananas (mainly for breakfast). A huge salad with a tin of tuna. I've got a big pot of fat free yoghurt (I think this is free???) and two mug shotz (they're listed as free in the book I have but only two flavours....I think this may be because they only did two flavours back then?)
I know my breakfast is a bit shakey and I should probably have some crispbreads or something as my healthy extras but I'm going to do a bit more of a shop tomorrow. For tea tonight I'm going to have spag bol with lean drained mince, loads of peppers, onions and tomatoes (I may put sweetcorn and green beans in mine just to up the veg side)
Am I on the right track? I was going to make a tub of macaroni rice with veg in it to snack on and then I had a bit of a panic that it may not be free so I didn't. I still seem to have an awful lot of food with me tho:)
