Dizzyk - can I ask how many syns per square of dairy milk/caramel dairy milk please? I have two HUGE bars left from my birthday, that have been winking at me and the temptation will get me in the end. I much prefer your idea of a planned nibble at 8pm, rather than devouring the whole lot when I can take it no more.

    Thanks
    Alfie

    No probs ;)

    230g bars

    Dairymilk 1.5 per square
    caramel 2 per square

The family size bars of dairymilk bubbly are very good as the squares are BIGGER (full of little bubbles lol) ;) these work out at 1.111 syn each or 3 squares for 3.5 syns of loveliness:p

thanks blackberry, that's my concern, 1/3 superfree is alot which is why I'm adding veg to everything I can, I can see it's going to lead to some strange combinations until I get my shopping sorted and my head round it all :-)

I often have a meal where veg simply doesnt go at all (like curry and rice.....with cauliflower & carrotts :eek:Yack lol so I would just make sure that I eat some fruit after the meal if poss. But as long as at the end of each day the total volume of what food you have consumed - 1/3 has been superfree then you wont go far wrong.
  • Hi Everyone. I'm fairly new at this so can anyone tell me if I had 56g of Jordans Muesli for breakfast, would that be 2.5 syns plus 1 x HEB? (on extra easy)?

    Thanks

Someone told me that you don't need to make every meal 1/3 if you are making sure 1/3 of your day is superfree. So I don't tend to have fruit or veg at breakfast but will have something as a morning snack. Lunch will involve a lot of salad, cucumber, tomatoes etc and I normally have fruit in the afternoon. One thing I have found helps a lot is preparing something like carrot sticks and having a little bowl of them to chomp on. If you had them on the sideboard whilst you were preparing tea you could easily eat a carrot or two before dinner starts. Don't forget too to count things like onion and tomatoes in your bolognaise sauce, it's an easy way to get loads more in and a fairly cheap one too. You can often slip in a bit of veg without it being too obvious if you cut it finely, though I can sense celery a mile off in a dish :)

Mad cow eh? Don't think they sell that one in my local Tesco :)
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I think they get it in special at my local Asda just for me at PMT time :rotfl:
  • thanks Sian, I was going to try slipping some celery in but my OH reckons he'll be able to spot it too. Snacking on SF stuff while cooking/waiting for tea sounds like a good plan, especially as our evening meal is usually soooo late!
Lynz, I'm not completely au fait with it yet but the club sandwich looks like a yummy option :-)
*note to self must get to grips with this site so I can have a more interesting font, include quotes and maybe even a picture by my name!!!!!!

  • Good morning world biggrin.gif

Well done on the losses ladies :T

Sorry ladies - didn't manage to get on yesterday -was a wee bit busy *bad bad me*.... anyway -2lb off for me yesterday happy036.gifso Im over half way there now 4st 12lbs gone forever and 4st 11 to lose :j

Hubby has gone away this morning and won't be back until Friday evening frown.gif -so I must keep myself out of mischief *well the fridge*giggle.gif

Following DizzyK' experiment -I have decided to be "big n brave" this week -Im going to try a GREEN week eek.gif.. I have a really sore acidy feeling stomach and I "think" it might be the red meat doing it -so whilst hubby is away Im going to go green and see how I get on -
Im looking forward to not "paying" for peas n sweetcorn -how sad is it that they are the things I love most tongue.gif

SO then my GREEN meal plan for today is:-
    • activia lemon (2.5)
    • pasta with
    • peas
    • sweetcorn
    • onions
    • tomatoes
    • mushrooms
    • with fresh boiled beetroot nomnomnom
    • 2 laughing cow light (B)**
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • melon
    • activia peach (2.5)
    • potatoes -wedged in
    • 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
    • egg
    • baked beans
    • 250ml semi (A)
    • 1tsp camp (0.5)
    • 3 ryvita multi grain (B)
    • 3 laughing cow light **
    • gherkin
    • beetroot
    • crunch corner (4)
So if Im right -that should be 2A+Bs and 10.5 syns
does that look right folks ?????
If so then ecky thump its even more to eat than I do on red days roofles.gif .....
I have just had lunch and its the first time I have had pasta in 21 weeks  -cor it was nice :rotfl:
I still think I will measure my pasta/rice etc -just so I know how much Im eating -just whilst I get used to it again :p

oooohhhhh I forgot to mention the other day that I had an email from La redoute to say they had a further sale - now ladies -those needing new bras -depending on your sizes they have them from less than £5 -just a case of if they have your sizes ....
I might have taken advantage of the clothes sale whistle.gif
ok -so 6 pairs of trousers, 7 tops a new bag and a lovely new "slinky" nightie ....ooooppps - NOW in my defence I will be taking very good care of them so I can pass them on tongue.gif and I have picked size 18s so they will fit a little snug in some cases -but then I have picked some with stretch and some without so I have my bases covered. oohhh and in my other defence :rotfl: they haven't "technically" cost me anything as its from my "treat myself fund" which has all been from money hubby has won and shared :j

Right I had better get off and get something done..
    hope everyone is well.......
