I know what you mean before my holidays I was having to go to the shops to top up on fruit and veg every other day. I'm adding some red and green days into my week now to try to cut down on the food bill.
If I was doing EE today I'd have had to go out but with my green I can eat what I have in."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

Might be worth me looking at green then, I have just been shopping and bought quorn alternatives anyway as it was cheaper than buying real meat! So I don't think I eat much that doesn't actually count as a green day?Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Hello everyone,
Well done Princess Kate for starting immediately. I joined last week, with the intention of doing just that.. but I've found it quite difficult. I think I need to plan my meals, and make sure I have the right foods in!! Otherwise I just get hungry, and eat foods with a high syn value .
Possibly a silly question, but what happens if I don't go to my SW meeting this evening? Am I charged for missing the class? Will I be treated like a naughty child when I turn up the following week?0 -

I work shifts so I just message my consultant to let her know I cant make it.... you are allowed a few holiday weeks, but I guess to lose weight you need to show commitment which is why they encourage you to go every week.
I have to plan what I'm eating all week otherwise I just eat lots of rubbish, I literally have to decide each morning everything I'm taking to work and having for snacks etc and when I'm going to eat what.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Thanks psychopathbabble, I was really planning on just getting the books, and not going back
- but so many people have said that going to the classes is what keeps them motivated.

It's good to be able to change the options within the plan to fit in with your lifestyle/budget, thats what I love about this. So me adding a couple of greens a week helps keep the cost down as pasta and tatas etc are cheap.
Yes, quorn fits perfectly with green days and lots of lovely things you can eat."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

To be honest, I do actually feel really motivated after going and staying to listen to everyone..... it kind of gives you a boost and if you are struggling then people can give their tips. Mind you, I've only been twice so far in 3 weeks but can't wait to go on wednesday to see if I've lost any more...trixietoes wrote: »It's good to be able to change the options within the plan to fit in with your lifestyle/budget, thats what I love about this. Thanks hun! But I'm really not. I 've just stuck to plan and got on with it. Everyone can do it! I do think though that your heart has got to be in it 100% or you will fail.MRSMCAWBER wrote: »-2lb off for me yesterdayso Im over half way there now 4st 12lbs gone forever and 4st 11 to lose :j
MRSM is the true inspiration! That is an amazing achievement!! :jGive yourself a huge pat on the back. You inspired me to be 100% and 'use or lose' my syns which has truely worked for me this time round so far :AI have an addiction to Diet Coke and i'm now following your discussions about aspartame very closely, i always thought it was the caffiene that was the bad bit in it... I've tried many times to give it up but i'm like a smoker - i ALWAYS go back.
shala_moo - I gave up Diet Coke at Easter and haven't had any since. It wasn't just cos of the aspartame, I was bet that I couldn't do it for a month, proved them wrong! :rotfl:. I used to have say a can a day with lunch and then a big glass whenever I ate out (twice a week). I can honestly say I do not miss it now. I did for the first week or so. I now drink flavoured fizzy water when I want a fizzy drink (morissons and tesco do aspartame free ones) or squash, though the no addedd sugar ones do tend to have aspartame in them.
