Thanks MrsM and Flutterby re the diet coke... i'm only probably drinking up to 1litre a day but i know its not good for me.. i get scared whats its doing to my teeth and stomach lining when i read the different experiments people have done like cleaning rusty nails, dissolving teeth etc:eek:

I will try and cut it out once i get back from holidays.. but we'll be in the land of Coca cola for 2 weeks so I don't think i'd be able to do it there!

Senor - i absolutely love rice cakes, although my colleagues aren't impressed with the smell of them when i have them at work.:p i think they're very versatile.. and having sweet stuff on them is just as nice as savoury cheeses.. *wanders off to find rice cakes*

Benny123 - the escalopes are 7 syns each on any plan..
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

    Sorry -nearly forgot...

I try and avoid asparthame as much as possible too -and the activia intensley creamy don't have it in ...I checked mine but they are made in Germany -so i looked on line and this is the list of ingredients for the UK ones (there are more things in them than the German ones -but no asparthame)

Ingredients Yogurt With Bifidus Actiregularis [whole Milk, Milk Protein, Cream (1.1%), Skimmed Milk Concentrate, Yogurt Cultures], Sugar (8.7%), Peach (8%), Stabilisers (Modified Maize Starch, Pectin, Guar Gum), Flavourings, Acidity Regulators (Citric Acid, Calcium Citrate), Colour (Paprika Extract).

They are stunning but NOT free -they are 2.5syns each -but I would pay more than that for them as they are scrumdiddlyunptious :T
DizzyK -do you take acetazolomide(sp?) by chance? only the effect you mentioned with fizzy pop etc is just what I used to have with those? and it made everything taste really strong -they were damn awful tablets....
    Hi MrsM

No its a drug called Topiramate.....tho one of the side effects is very similar - fizzy things appear 'flat' but take on a very intense vile taste thats hard to describe (tho I have a feeling the tabs you were on were did pretty similar odd things:o) It makes getting a drink hard when we go out anywhere for a meal or to a pub tho as Im quite limited for low syn choice with being a non drinker at the mo too (not by choice I add ).....OH gets mad at the prices they charge for water lol :rotfl:
  • Stupid question I know but how do you melt cheese triangles on your cauli?

I just cook the cauli as normal then depending if its just for me or for me & OH I either put in in a bowl (or straight onto my plate before the rest of my meal) cut the cheeses up into 4 and just sguidge it on the cauli then nuke it in the micro for 1 min. or if im doing it posh il grill it ;)
  • Ahh of course micro.. I've not got one. But the grilling is interesting.. I have one of those :D. I'm going to try that next time as I have some triangles with herbs which could be nice.

    Thanks!!

grilling works well, just takes a bit longer. the good thing is tho- because the cheese is low fat is doesnt really go runny so you dont lose your precious small amount to the dish lol it sits on the cauli and goes all gooey :p
