Hi Skint, I couldn't find the Peppered casserole mix but the syns for the beef one are about 5.5 on any day.. so you could use that as a guide.

Aunt Bessie's Homestyle Roast Potatoes100g baked, 3.5 syns EE and green, 9 syns on red
    Hope that helps.

  • Could anyone help with another query I have?

Really trying to stick to the diet, however in the past I have been a serial snacker with high sugar things like chocolate and crisps. trying to comletely cut these out for the time being but I do feel very shaky and constantly starving all the time even eating fruit. Has anyone else experienced this on starting SW and if so what helped and how long did it last? I really want to stick with this diet but sometimes I could kill someone for some chocolate!!! Thanks

I used to love the rosemary conley mushroom stroganoff from the old "hip & thigh" diet.

Heres a more up to date version, would be just syn for the flour if you discount the white wine.

I used to love this in a jacket potato (F) or in a large yorkshire pud ( again synned for SW)

Might make this tomorrow :) yum!

Thank you shala_moo - ooh the aunt bessies are high (I'm on red but refuse to go without my roasties today!

lbnblbnb - I don't mind! I was going to ask for mushroom strog as that's the easiest to possibly have free due to the rice etc but I'm sure I could manage an ee day if I planned hard enough for a beed strog!

Really stuck for lunches on a red day except sarnies but wanted to give bread up - any thoughts? I don't make very tasty salads myself (plus don't have any in) and can't find a shop salad without mayo/dressing etc

    Hi diane

    Are you doing EE?

When I started I was really starvin for a couple of weeks, but it settle down.

If you are on EE, what about a couscous salad in the fridge? AH couscous with loads of chopped veg in carrot, raish, sweetcorn, onion, grilled peppers, courgettes etc? AH couscous is 1 syn if you choose the lowest ones, and one pack mae up like this is a good snack.

Spanish omelette or frittata quite good as well.

I made soup, and will make more. Quite filling if as a snack? Im also going to make onion bhajis as a free snack - again quite portable. Also am going to experiment with filo pastry, samosa or spinachy green pastry thing??

HEB Alpen lites is a good choice as then you can choose to have them as something to graze on? You could have 4 of these on a green day!

Don't know if you can order online or if they delivery - but worth a look if you're in the Muirhead area.
