Can I ask a question, I have fallen off SW.. and I am now 5months pregnant! However, when i went for a check up they have written on my notes 'problems- mainly due to high BMI'....I have a few complications but they are not weight related (i did ask!) but now i am worried by the comments!! I know if i get the midwife's ok i can rejoin SW, but has anyone done it? and how does it work? is it more about maintaining weight than losing it? (as i don't really want to lose weight, i just want to not gain loads more in the next 4months iyswim?!) TIA!August: £149/£150
Sept: £200

Heres the details of the Sw pregnant policy:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Our last consultant continued with sw all the way thru her recent pregnancy.....it helped her not gain masses of unwanted weight and she was very quickly back at her pre baby weight by doing this0 -
Loads of fruit and veg and low sat fats has to be good news in pregnancy:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hi diane
Are you doing EE?
When I started I was really starvin for a couple of weeks, but it settle down.
If you are on EE, what about a couscous salad in the fridge? AH couscous with loads of chopped veg in carrot, raish, sweetcorn, onion, grilled peppers, courgettes etc? AH couscous is 1 syn if you choose the lowest ones, and one pack mae up like this is a good snack.
Spanish omelette or frittata quite good as well.
I made soup, and will make more. Quite filling if as a snack? Im also going to make onion bhajis as a free snack - again quite portable. Also am going to experiment with filo pastry, samosa or spinachy green pastry thing??
HEB Alpen lites is a good choice as then you can choose to have them as something to graze on? You could have 4 of these on a green day!
When I started SW I knew it was more about a long term way of eating that had to be 'do-able' .....Im a big choccie fiend so to go cold turkey would risk caving in and having a mass binge at some point
So Ive found my best way of tackling it is to give myself a ' 8pm curfew on synful things' I buy big family size bars of dairy milk, caramel, dairymilk bubbly to keepcold in the fridge and ive worked out the syn value per cube of each and have 1 or 2 squares of whichever I fancy.....but I stop at that.
1.5 dairymilk
2 caramel
1 bubbly
I also have a kitkat 5.5 at that time & I save my HEB to have in the form of a Fibre plus bar
my total syns usually never goes over 10.....but I have a good old choccie fix at 8ish every day - and because I know ive planned for it all day Im not tempted to go crazy (except when Ive got pmt when my willpower really takes a hammering.....but so far so good, ive only given in once so far
But before SW I could eat a whole family size bar of choccie without even tasting it:o0 -
I have to admire you, Dizzy, because (as I confessed on here) last week I bought myself a Cadbury flake and put it into the freezer, checked the syns and decided to save it for another day. :A Then a friend turned up with a crunchie (and this is a friend who is most impressed with my weight loss and lovely new figure, they just don't THINK do they?) which I broke in half, ate half and put the other half in the freezer.:A
Before bed that night I'd eaten the other half crunchie (lovely from the freezer, btw :rotfl:) AND the entire flakeI have no willpower so I just don't buy the stuff.
Also can I ask you all ...... when you are clicking on the Smilies do you chase to and fro whilst trying to click on this :rotfl: one or is it just me? :rotfl::jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

C xx
I usually have HM veg soup.
Other lunch ideas I have done are.....Meat with a small salad, nothing really complicated just a bit of lettuce, cucumber, tomato and grated carrot.
Another one i've done is a box medley....so loads of different bits like, boiled eggs, carrot sticks, cheese cubes, marinated chicken breast sliced, ham.gammon, Yoghurt, snack a jacks....etc there is all sorts you can put in it, just make sure you do loads!! Make more than you think you will eat otherwise you may find yourself peckish with the lack of bread;)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
I've attempted to make my own soup before but never been brave enough to try it and it's just been thrown out
Salad really doesn't do it for me, but I like the snack box idea! If I can have a cooked brekkie thenthat shoul dkeep me going until lunch otherwise I'll have eaten my lunch by 11am! Thanks
Can anyone remind me how many syns French Fries & Quavers (multipacks) are pls or if there are any lower syn crisps now?
And yes, I too am a chocoholic - I've tried having it in the house but I just can't do it. Same for dorito's & dips etc0 -
Another thing(!): I have fallen into the bad habit of hopping onto the scales every time I go into the bedroom this week. I can't believe the variation within a few hours! I seem to be able to swing 5lbs in a day!
Should I throw my scales away or is this normal and the reason I shouldn't be weighing myself at every opportunity??!!
Quick answer.....yes it's normal and yes, that's why you shouldn't be doing it. Chuck 'em away or stick 'em in the attic out of sightI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
