WI this morning & scales playing up as they said I'd lost 4lb . Did a bit of getting on & off with differing results so went for a shower. Before getting dressed I got on the scales & have lost 1 lb [much better]. Have [in my head] moved my target from 10st 2lb to 9st 12lb as that made a round 2st loss but am now 1.5lb under that.

How do I stop? Hubby is complaining I am losing too much :o.

Am off on weekly walk to mums if my legs will let me, don't know about the other teachers on here [I am a TA] but this week has been a killer on my legs :(.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hun this is where Ive been too.

You have 3 choices as I see it
    1) are you happier to be smaller? Or do you look "too thin"
    2) are you having your full quotient of HEA &B. ( ie the extra ones for maintainence)
    3) my sister says if you dont want to have HEA and B extra then you should have a further 6 syns per day ie 16 if you usually have 10, or 21 if you usually have 15. this is the unofficial SW line.

Those are the options as I understand them :o x
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • D - 4 Prawn skewers (4 as have a sauce on them already) with rice and stir fried mushrooms, baby corn, mange tout, pepper & spring onion.

Green day for me: (will update later)

B - 2 x fried eggs in frylight on HM WM toast (HEB)
L - salad with lettuce, toms, pepper, sp onions, runner beans, carrot and 2 x HB eggs
    D -
    Snacks - activa ff yog
Drinks - coffee, NAS squash, water

    Total syns =

I'm undecided on what to have for tea. I really want fajitas but they will use all my 15syns (2 x tortillas, 2 x sour cream) plus 2 HEA's for cheese. I need to make some room in freezer and do have some SW friendly curry in there but to be honest it wasn't very tasty! :rotfl: So not sure I want bland curry for tea. It will be fine for a day when I want a quick meal so may save it for the week. I'm happy to use all my syns on the fajitas if I make them, as I'll still have a HEB for my choccie fix of Kellogs Fibre Plus bar. But it all depends on how peckish I get between now and dinnertime!

Maybe just have the 1 wrap and then the filling from the 2nd one on the side with a big salad? It will halve the syns and you could have some pud too.

With the curry when you are ready to eat it just add some more spices or a bit of a stock cube to it to pep it up a bit.

  • OK - I eat out too much but that's just the way I am..... I am on a steep learning curve with SW here and will have to stop checking syns after the event!
Yesterday had lunch with a friend at Pizza express and shared a salad and dough balls to start and then had a thin pizza with goats cheese and peppers - ABOUT 35 SYNS...... I know most of you won't be shocked, but I was.
Now today have just been to the Designer outlet and had a cappuccino and panini at Caffe Nero's and the panini was 21 syns..... I thought that the pasta salad would be just as bad but it would have been 11.
    Hey ho.
We have just upgraded our phones and I have a smartphone now so the BIG solution for me is to actually go to syns online in future and check before I eat!!!!
    L xx

Trixietoes - why not add 2 tablespoons of branston pickle to jazz up the curry - that would be 2 syns, and maybe some extra curry powder as you heat it up. Sometimes a chopped apple can add a bit of jazz too.
NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........

No they are from either Asda or Morrisons' BBQ range. I dont know which as i found them at the back of the freezer :p I ran the values through the calculator when i bought them. They are lovely :) they are covered in this sweet chilli/thai style marinade. Morrisons have their ones 3 boxes for £5 atm which is a bit expensive considering the Asda ones were £1 a box when i bought them! But now summer is over i dont think asda have them anymore.
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..
  • Grrrrr the pesky fairies are really doing my head in today. I really thought i kicked their asses earlier.... Parent's came home from allotment with not only their harvest but a bag of chips to have with chip butties..... URGH... i then proceeded to have a small (children's size) bowl of chips... thank god it was a small bowl..

... and now i've just spent 3 syns on an oaty biscuit... bah! I hate saturdays! lol.

Thanks for the suggestions hun. I think I will have the whole thing cos I'm not really a pud person and can always have another Activa FF yog and fruit later.

I'll defo use your suggestion re the curry. Since I made it I've bought lots of new spices so will experiment :)

    Afternoon all

Well -left to my own devices and I found myself wandering from room to room -well what I mean is from living room to kitchen and back again  ....... I think "bored maud" was visiting but do you know what -I kept sticking my head in the fridge before slamming it shut (not with my head in :rotfl:) and wandering off empty handed :p.... I actually have realised that I CAN distinguish between HUNGER and boredom etc :j -somehow I have got to 6pm having had my brekkie and lunch as planned and now Im not hungry for my dinner  so I will hold off and have it in a while ;) and I haven't had either of my yogyogs yet or my syns
ooohhhh and Just a few minutes ago I decided to do my measurements... I took them all the day before I joined the GYM and ohh ecky thump in 3 weeks I have lost 28cm/11" from all over -Im chuffed to little mint balls
Im glad I decided to do my measurements -I mainly did it because I wanted to have something to judge by incase the weight loss slowed down ;)

Fitorbust -its amazing isn't it that often what we would think to be the "healthier" choices are far from it  -
Vixie-pixie -go on -zap those fairies ;)
Flutterby -have you tried making your own wraps? I make mine for 5.5syns each *if I remember correctly* -I have done them even pre-SW and I would never have ready made again:D

right Im off to watch 5 episodes of "come dine with me" :rotfl:
