Anyone know the syns for Tesco Organic Tomato Puree Tube 200G please. It's on offer at tesco but wanted to know the syns before ordering. TIA :)

I can't see it listed, gocat. However regular tomato puree is half a syn for 1 level tablespoon. If it's sundried tomato puree though beware, as that is 1.5 syns per level tbsp. (personally I never count a syn for a squiggle of tomato puree; as a single person I refuse to open a pack or can of passata just for a splash, so I use puree in its place. It would go off before I got round to using it again)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Thank god its friday, I'm so tired. It took me from 6pm til 10pm to do a Mr T order and still forgot things :(. Been on my feet all day and they are throbbing like hell.

    Food was:
    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
    L - WM roll , cheese [a], p/onion, s/cream [.5], crisps [5], couscous loaf.
T - muller, pineapple, melon, meringue [2.5] [busy doing stuff, no time to eat :o]
    Snacks - banana
    Syns - 8

Looking forward to a lie in tomorrow :D

  • Hi

Can someone tell me please if a Sweet potato is a good substitute for a normal potato? Also what about root veg mash (eg, carrot, swede & parsnip), I am looking for alternatives to ordinary spuds to Bake and mash just to make a variety and meals more interesting when I fancy a change.

    Thanks. :D

Am sooo tired today, have completed my 1hr on exercise bike and started painting the hallway, so been up and down the ladder and bike inbetween!

Had fruit and yog drink for Breakfast
Hard boiled egg and salad for Lunch
and Salmon in butter & Herb sauce (Simply Fish) with a couple of baby new potatoes and lots of Asparagus and Brocolli
Then a fruit salad with fromage frais and a spoonful of honey as a snack treat.

Hot bath with Radox, now relaxing before bed.

Might have 2 days off bike this weekend (not just 1).

    Thanks. :D

I love sweet potatoes and the make a great alternative in fact I had sw pot wedges tonight and often do them baked instead of ordinary.

I also sometimes do a mixed mash potatoes with carrots or swede - hate parsnips but then I'm doing extra easy so don't have to worry about not having tatties.

Now I'll try to get back to sleep!!!!:wall:

Welcome Romylou, In my first 6 weeks I lost 13lbs so if I can do it (after trying EVERY diet going and failing at them all) then so can you. My starting weight was 11st 5lbs and I went on to lose 3 stone in a total of 10 months. That was in 2008 and have been at or very close to target since then.

Dizzy - glad you're feeling a bit better.

Thanks Hun :D Them Anti B's are really doing the trick ;) x

    LMAO :rotfl::rotfl:

I jsut nearly choked on my morning cuppa laughing at that lol

Cheers for the big belly chuckles Blackberry :D x x

Could you try green tomato chutney and use sweetner instead of the sugar - or would it not work?
