  • Can I ask what you do in the gym for 90 mins? How often do you go? Am always looking for variety! :rotfl:

Today hasn't been great, but it could have been worse

B - none, forgot it. And an inhuman effort in willpower just steered me clear of Greggs on the way in to work!
L - leftovers of last night pasta with prawns, tomato, carrot and sweetcorn
D - cod with lemon sauce, new potatoes, green beans and roasted pepper. Really not a combination to go together, but had a fuzzy head on! The lemon sauce was from the sw sauces book which arrived today, was really impressed with it.
    Banana, blackberries, 1/2 mullerlite

Syns - yes, well. An arguement in tesco with my fiance drove me into the arms of dime bar cookies and whoopie pies :o:mad::mad:
Rubbish, just seen I need hea and heb still! Dairylea and fibre + bar then I guess.

Have bought some pork mince and fennel seeds to make the sausages from this months magazine too. Will really, really try to get up early enough to make porridge before work tomorrow!

If you are looking for a bit of variety at the gym when Im at full fitness I usually train for 90 mins.

The first 20 - 30 mins get on the treadmill to warm up and get a cardio burn.

Then continue with the cardio (Iknow you will feel like your legs are falling off) get on the bike/rower for another 30 mins.

Then do resistance weights and if you can - grab a space with a swiss ball and work your abs/core. Once you have done all of that, you should have lost about 2lbs in sweat alone!!!

    90 mins goes very quickly.

Hi, this thread just popped up. I would love to join. Christmas is filling me with dread and I have a holiday in 6 Weeks - AARGHH!!

Im presently 13st (OMG what happened there!) and want to lose a stone before i go. Achievable???

I also have another obstacle...... Last week I fell down while walking my dog and have fractured my ankle and torn too many ligaments to mention. :(

I have been really depressed this last week! I must sit with my foot raised and I only move when absolutely necessary. Its killing me because usually im a very active person.

So, will I be able to lose the 14lbs in 6 weeks??

    Watch this space...

    hello and welcome!

I am a newbie on SW (but 2nd time round). I have been doing it for 4 weeks and lost 12.5lbs so far, so a stone in 6 weeks couold be achievable. I am way heavier than you though! Everyone loses at different speeds though.

Good luck hun, and I hope u feel better soon!

Ive been feeling really down, due to lack of any activity. Its no fun sitting with your feet up all the time!! Trust Me!
  • Welcome Romylou, In my first 6 weeks I lost 13lbs so if I can do it (after trying EVERY diet going and failing at them all) then so can you. My starting weight was 11st 5lbs and I went on to lose 3 stone in a total of 10 months. That was in 2008 and have been at or very close to target since then.

Dizzy - glad you're feeling a bit better.

Evening all! Wow you lot can't half talk! I've just spent most of the evening catching up and I've only been away a few days! Our camping trip was ok but we didn't get to do as much fell walking as we hoped. We were hoping to stay till the weekend but came home yesterday as I woke up COVERED in a nasty spotty rash!! Aparently it's an allergic reaction, possibly to the antibiotics I've been taking, possibly not though as I've taken the smae ones before with no issues! So now I'm off the antibiotics and onto antihistamines!! I'm hoping it fades a bit by sunday as it's my cousin's little girl's christening and I'm God mother.....as I am now I look like I've got the lergie!!!!

Anyway, whilst I was away I've pretty much eaten what I wanted and the same has continued today as we had a trip to meadowhell (with me well covered up to hide the spots as much as poss!!!). ANyway, back on plan tomorrow after a trip to Mr T. I'll post my plan now to get it in mind! I think I'll make it a red day:

Brekkie - banana (nothing else in!!!)
Lunch - salad, chicken, wholemeal pitta (HEB)
Tea - cottage pie (topped with swede and carrot), veggies, roast spuds with skins on (HEB), gravy (3)
HEA will be milk in teas.

In the afternoon we're going to church to hear the bell ringing group ring a peal for OH's grandad who died recently and was a member of the group. He loved his bell ringing so it's really lovely of them to do it for him!!
  • Thanks Confused57

Well Done on reaching and maintaining your target.
  • Romylou: grab a space with a swiss ball - not that I'm obsessed or anything but I read that as "grab a space with a swiss roll" :rotfl: - I thought you were advising her to have a sneaky snack after all that exercise :rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Thanks Nuninge. I haven't been around as I am a teacher too, first week back for me, so have super super busy. I am going to have a look at the Heinz 98 noodles, might be good to have in stock at work. Are they free? Do they taste alright?
    Liz

Hello lbnblbnb (I keep typing that and wondering how on earth you remember it!),

The sweet thai curry noodles are delicious. I could eat them every day for lunch and often did when I wasn't even following slimming world (although I did know then that they were healthy...it was just hte staffroom cookies, donuts and general other crap that tripped me up!). THey are completely free as far as I remember and you can stir an egg through them to make them a bit more like Malay noodles if you fancy it (although I've gone off this!). I've also had them on toast (HEB) for an evening meal in the past. I sound like a salesman for them don't I!!! Actually that said, this is the only flavour I like. THey do a chicken and herb one which is horrible and there is supposed to be a smoky bacon one but I've never found it and have heard that it repeats really badly!

Hope that helps, have a nice relaxing weekend
