Hi Trixie
Hope you had a fab hol
Ive not tried the choc cake yet so cant comment......but I have done the fruit roulade a few times.....and its realllllly lush not too sweet but nice and naughty feeling (plus you're getting your superfrees in with it....bonus lol) x
Thank you DizzyK we had a lovely time apart from the weight increase. But I think it may have been a lot of water retention as I peeked on the scales this morning and am 2.5lb down on Thursday.
I think I will go with your suggestion and try the roulade this weekend... especially as OH is away so it won't hurt if I accidentally eat it all :rotfl::rotfl: fingers crossed I don't mess it up as I'm not a great cake baker.

xxthats my philosophy!
Im no delia either trixie lol.....thats why the roulade is so fab.....its easy peasy and you simply CANT mess it up, It will rise up a bit when you cook it like yorkie pud but go flat as it cools (dont worry- this is what its meant to do!)
and thanks for the chutney recipe il have a look at that
just looked at the recipe - it needs 250g of sultanas @ 4 syns per 28g, thats going to be less synful for the finished product than the piccallili for sure:) Il see what OH thinks as he will be eating most of it lol0 -
actually thinking about it more maybe just go with what you know as I assume your picalili recipe makes a couple of jars at least. So for the whole batch it would by highly synned but you wouldn't eat the whole batch at once - or would you :rotfl::rotfl: so the actual syn of a portion you would have is quite low in the same way a tbsp of sauce is?
Tell me to belt up if I'm talking rubbish :rotfl:"People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
Hi girls, going shopping before I want to start back on SW properly on monday. Just wanted to check a few things
- seen the kellogs fibre plus bars mentioned, are they a HEB for 1 bar?
- alpen lights, still 2 bars for a HEB?
Thanks in advance!

Its a reallllllly old family recipe of OHs and seriously yum..... Il never buy piccallili again after tasting that! and I can quite easily eat half a jar at a time if Im left to it :rotfl:but it uses a ridiculous amount of sugar and flour for the sauce
OOOH my minds in turmoil now.....Maybe I should just leave it to OH's mum to make it on her own this year and Il just take 1 tiny jar (she likes me to help so The recipe gets passed down and not forgotten) then we can experiment on something new and give most of it away to family before xmas & her friends at the allotment.....keeps the circle of swapped items flowing then(and saves my waistline expanding before mexico
)

:j BRILL !!! Id much rather try have them go red then make something involving syns with them(im pannicking at the thought of having to sacrifice my kitkat & 3 squares of dairymilk in the evening lol)
Just need OH to grab a couple of nanas on his way home to do an experiment x0 -
hi gang
Does anyone know the syn value for a Hollands Steak and kidney puddingIm still feeling groggy and under the weather and this is the sort of food I need- comfort
was going to do with sw chips and peas
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
