Right, that's it - I've joined online this evening ...... gulp!!
I normally manage about a stone in 5-6 weeks realtively easily - and then get bored and give up after me$£ssing around for a few more weeks. I'm hoping that I can be more motivated this time
Looking forward to chatting to you all on here
You are soooo ME! However, with the help of the "sabotage log" thingy, I think I might get through it!0 -

Pooh, my SIL reckons anything you don't want your lads to eat has to be stored in the salad drawer as they never look in there:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

Gammon- gammon joint with water, onion chopped in half and a stock cube put on low for 18 hours, falls to pieces and is incredibly tasty! Mmm, mouth watering now
Hope that is helpful
Did you really mean 18 hours? I do a gammon joint most weeks in my slow cooker and have found 8 or 9 hours to be more than enough. As you say, it practically falls to pieces and is just yummy!
There are some slow cooker recipes here too:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=1948340&postcount=3I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I never learn. Anyway back at class and whittling that down now.
With the winter approaching I want to start using my (rarely used) slow cooker so there is something tasty ready for tea when I get in. Also family eat at different times so this would make life easier.
My question to all you lovely ladies and gents is - do you have any tried and tested SW receipes that you cook in a slow cooker? I am thinking of buying the 1 pot cookbook at class next week - but hoped some of you may be able to inspire me.
Thanks
I just love my slow cooker and use it all the time. Have a look on here, there are loads of recipes which could very easily be adapted for Food Optimising:-

Right I've decided on SW wedges and veggie sausages. I will admit that I did go onto the Domino's website and put an order in my basket
but I decided to wait 20mins to see if I really wanted it before ordering. I decided not to waste a billion syns on it and make something myself, now that is restraint! :j
Green day:
B - shreddies (HEB) and skimmed milk (HEA)
L - pasta and pesto (1.5syns), activa ff yog
D - wedges, veggie sausages (3syns), RS ketchup (1syn), salad cream (2.5syns)
Snacks - banana, 2 x oranges, cheese (HEA), kellogs fibre plus (HEB)
Drinks - water, NAS squash, coffee
Total syns = 8

Can anyone tell me an alternative way to burn 500 KCals a day over 4 x 15 - 20 mins of exercise? Have a Wii fit if anything on that (was thinking of doing the jogging 'game'). Don't have the confidence at the moment to join the local swimming sessions or gym so its either the bike or jumping round the living room to a fitness DVD
Also been wondering what the recomended amount of Calories each day is to burn off as worrying I am doing too little or too much.
Thanks
It's not necessary to exercise in order to lose weight, but it does help to firm up the wobbly bits
However, any exercise will do, there's really no need to be flogging yourself to death because unless you really enjoy what you're doing you're unlikely to keep it up. They say that it takes up to 6 months to see a difference from your exercise, so that's quite a commitment.
Personally I'd be looking to get your treadmill back - sod letting someone else have it for free when you want to use it yourself  Still, while the weather's nice you could do some power walking in the local neighbourhood. You should be able to cover a mile in 15 mins so 4 miles a day over all. As you get fitter you could jog or run for part of the way.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
