Hi, in my experience you only need to add liquid if you are cooking JUST root vegetables. The slow cooker itself produces steam and that turns to liquid, it will all be too wet if you add extra. That's why, once everything is in the slow cooker, you do not lift the lid to peekI'd suggest getting from library or bookshop a slow cooker recipe book and the only difference to make it SW friendly is ignore any instructions about adding oil or fat
Honest, it would take DAYS to burn anything. PS lasagne in slow cooker is also good, and takes approx 3.5 hours so not too slow.

Well, we got the shopping done yesterday so I should be pretty much set for the week *no doubt I will think of something I simply can't survive without*-push come to shove I can always take a detour to the supermarket on my way back from the gym next week
-I did get my very important activa intensely creamy yogs -24 of them ... I can only get them from 2 places *that I don't normally shop in* so I needed to make sure I had enough to last until hubby gets back NEXT saturday
Right Im off - have a great day everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
I was meant to be going out for dinner with friends to Toby Carvery tonight but it's been cancelled cos one of them is ill. I have no idea what to have for dinner now, plus I'm exhausted as I've driven miles in a minibus today
My brain can't think what to make for tea!

Ok -so my dinner changed
I decided I wanted gammon with my omelette -only the Gammon steaks are huge and I knew that if I cooked a full on I would end up eating the other half cold later-so I knocked the omelette and salad on the head and had the gammon and then sauted plenty of onions, peppers and mushrooms and stirred in a big dollop of herby quark, salt n pepper -twas yummy -so my amended meal plan for today looks like:-
- 1 nectarine
- 4 plums
- 1 apple
- cottage pie (B) left over from last night :j
- activia creamy (2.5)
- apple
- plums
- gammon steak
- 1/4tsp oil (0.5)
- onions
- mushrooms
- peppers
- quark with herbs
- nectarine/plums
- 250ml semi (A)
- 1tsp camp (0.5)
- crunch corner (4)

I haven't posted since Sunday. I was really good until yesterday. At the end of my shift in work i sat in the staff room and had a cup of tea with a crunchie. I figured that would probably be all the syns i was going to have. Oh how wrong i was. I went home and got changed then went out for lunch with my boyfriend. I planned to have gammon with jacket potato and salad. Unfortunately there were no jackets so I caved and had chips. Then I'd like to say I'm ashamed to say, but I'm not ashamed, I had dessert. Caramel apple crumble and ice-cream. It was amazing. Later I had a wispa too. I went back to my house and chilled for a bit before heading out to my dance class. It was the first class since the end of July because they stopped for the summer. After 10-15 minutes I was boiling and could really tell I hadn't done any exercise for months. The class was fab though and I really enjoyed it (I usually do). !
Today I have been back on plan. I cooked a huge breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs, oven cooked sliced potatoes (similar to sw chips), mushrooms and beans. It was lovely and I still don't feel the need to eat anything although I did have a fibre plus bar a little while ago as I needed something sweet.0 -

If you are desperate there is the instant cupboard food of pasta with veg and chopped toms:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I too had a change of plan: had to pop out this morning with only the fruit and yog to sustain me
I was starvers when I got home and had egg, bacon, beans and loads of mushrooms and brown roll HEB
Dinner is still veggie chilli rice, and taco shels though.
managed to get loads of cheap pineapple and strawbs ( for how much longer!) and butternut squash obv in season as its cheap everywhere. Also more beetroot and some leeks for a L&P soup - yum! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Hi, I have been MIA for a week but I did keep up the SW diet and I just had to come on to tell you that at weigh in today I had lost 3lbs!! So it really does work when it is done properly:D
Today I have had hardly any food though so I must start to write everything down again. I am on Bodyoptimise.
I bought some Mullerlight yoghurts as snacks for me and my active, thin sons pinched them!! I have decided not to buy them now and try to find something they don't like.
Dinner tonight is Tuna Supreme for the family so I am just trying to find a way to make it SW for me but nutritious enough for DH, DB and DSs x 3.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
