Does anyone have any of those velvet crisps? Was wondering:

    A) Where to get them from

    B) Do they contain any milk powder? I've yet to find low(ish) syn crisps that are vegan!

    Thanks:)

I'm not too sure how many holidays you get but you could use one of them otherwise you'll have to pay for two weeks worth.

It's rubbish isn't it? I got assaulted an I had to take a holiday when missed my class though my consultant might of let me off but nope

Before every group was computerised it was really down to the Consultant - I'm a pushover so never charged anyone who had a sob-story as to why they missed a week - but now, the Consultant needs to input that you won't be attending before the group starts or the machine will pop a rivet or something, lol. See, people are a lot more caring than 'puters

You get 6 weeks holiday over a 12 month period when you don't have to pay for a missed group.

Here's a question for you all - when a healthy extra b is listed as 'x amount of cereal + 1 ryvita' or suchlike, what if you don't have the ryvita?! As I hate the stuff :D

Well strictly following the plan you should syn your breakfast if it can't be counted as a HEB (which it can't if you don't have the Ryvita to make up the shortfall).

However, there are cereals which don't require any additional fibre, why not try those.

PS: Have you actually tried the new Ryvitas? The multigrain ones are lovely - if you're thinking back to how they used to be years ago, you might get a nice surprise. I like them spread with cottage cheese and cucumber and a sprinkling of Aromat, yum!

Please, please tell me - what is dynorod soup?

If you go to the 'Forum Search' in the green band above the top post and type in 'Speed Food Soup', click on 'Show Posts' it will bring up all the posts with the recipe on.

You don't need to use exactly the same ingredients if you cant stand some of them but it is good, tastes nice and works a treat (which is why it got it's nickname) ;)

  • Evening,

Well I weighed in this morning and to my surprise I am -3lbs :D:D I can't quite believe it after the horrible week I've had, I have tried my best to stick to plan, had quite a few slip ups though but when I did I tried to counteract them with fruit! :o I'm a bit gutted though really because who knows what I would have lost if I had of stuck 100% to it. Made me determind to stick to it more this week.

Well off for a nose around and some inspiration for my meals this week.

I think I'm just fed up of being skint and having to stick to the usual jacket potato, pasta stuff... my grocery budget is around £15 per week which doesn't allow for a lot of variety! Our freezer is only a half size and is full at the moment, although not of stuff that is of use to me!

I do have turkey mince in the fridge so I'll make some spag bol tomorrow, I don't have any veg in except carrots so I'll have to eat lots of fruit straight after.

I shall have a look in my cupboard and see what is there tomorrow. I just mde quorn curry and thought it was horrible, but I think I'm just being fussy!:o

Thanks :) And well done on your original rings fitting!!

Well done on the meal planning!!

Well done on the meal planning!!

if you make your bolognaise sauce using tinned tomatoes that will count as superfree food, and the onions and garlic count too!

Instead of jacket potato you can make slimming world chips. Our consultant has successfully tested omitting the parboil stage and just cutting the potato into thick chips or wedges, put them onto a tray and spray with frylight or oil, very hot oven for about half an hour. Take them out a couple of times and re-spray. She says they taste better than the parboiled version. and with them you can have some baked beans or a "fried" egg - that would be a change and not cost much.

Oh, and it's official - jelly babies are good for you - I lost 1 lb this week :)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • I have recently joined a local class but really not sure if I am expecting more from it than I should. Is this the norm..

There is a weigh in 7pm-7.30pm ish and then the consultant goes through everyone's weight loss that week and asks them if they have any comments about it and perhaps makes a vague comment about something they say and that is the end of the class.

I was expecting a "talk" about something each week, even if it is only a few minutes but a general discussion about the plans and good things people have found etc.

I am not 100% sure about the consultant anyhow and I can see me losing the motivation to go with her if that is all the classes are going to be.
