ALISCRAPPER - be careful - pancetta is the evil fat twin of bacon. I used it in the low syn carbonara recipe from 2 mags ago, and found it was about 10 syns per oz..... yummy but scary!
Had a goodish day today apart from a bag of quavers attacking me at lunchtime....
Well done on the club 10 person - whoo whoo!
My soup flasks have arrived from amazon (I posted a link a few pages ago) and they are fab! they worked out about £7 each with a discount code and are really smart and even have a fold up spoon in the lid!NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -

Roasted Red Pepper and Bacon Quiche
Serves 4-6 people
1 HEa per serving on Extra Easy
Ingredients
1×500g tub of fat free cottage cheese
4 eggs
4 slices of lean bacon, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and finely grated
28g of Mature Cheddar Cheese, grated for per serving of quiche (1 HEa), (so if quiche is to serve 4, it will be 4×28g and so on)
Frylight or Pam Spray
Method
Preheat oven to 180c of 350f
Squeeze excess water from grated potatoes, using a clean tea towel. Spray a quiche dish with some Frylight or Pam spray and flatten potato mixture all over the base of the quiche dish, making sure you go up the sides too. Spray over the top with a little more Frylight or Pam spray and add quiche dish to oven and bake until it has begun to go golden. Do not over bake, as it will cook for longer with the quiche mixture.
Add the red pepper to a oven proof dish, spray with Frylight or Pam spray and roast in the oven till softened. Approx 40 mins
Spray a frying pan with Frylight or Pam spray and add the onion and bacon and fry until golden.
In a bowl, blend together the cottage cheese, eggs and mature cheddar.
Add the bacon, onion and roasted red pepper to the hash brown quiche base, pour over the quiche mixture and then bake in the oven for approx 20-30 mins, quiche should be firm and cooked through and slightly golden on top.
Serve with a side salad
Thanks so much for this recipe Aliscrapper. We all enjoyed this tonight. I omitted the cheddar cheese and I also used some yellow pepper alongside the red. This recipe is going into my special SW cookery book.;)0 -
Yay - made it to my Club 10 today!!!:A Doing extra easy and am finding it not too bad at all! I'm one of the lucky so-and-so's that don't really get chocolate cravings so I haven't been using very many syns but I'm thinking that there's no real weight loss benefit in this?
Is there any easy way to search the thread for recipe ideas? Thanx!!
Congratulations that is really really fantastic news.I unfortuantely get the chocolate cravings and crisps but I use my syns for those.
So last night I went to weigh in and lost 3.5lbs got my 1 stone award and was also SOTW, was a good night.
Not exactly sure how it happened, I didn't stick to the plan 100% if I'm honest. I went to the cinema on Tuesday and as I'd been to the cinema 5 previous times and been really good I allowed myself to have a small sweet popcorn.
Then on Friday I was changing jobs so had a sausage roll and a fresh cream bun  and although I was in the mood for a massive blow out and eating lots of sweet stuff I did my best to try and control the situation.
Saying that the rest of the week I was eating superspeed soup (which obviously works) and on Sunday I did haul a friend off her sofa and up a mountain for a walk, which I'm still feeling the effects of.
Today it's back to EE
Bran Flakes and semi skimmed milk for Breakfast (HEB, part HEA)
Tomato soup for lunch (made with tomatoes, tomato puree, celery, carrots and onion) 1/2 syn
Lots of Chicken noodle stir fry with celery, peppers, onions, soy sauce for dinner. (6 syn - for the noodles I'm using)
Snacks; lots of fruit
Drinks; tea (part HEA for the milk) and water0 -
weigh in tommorow, so will try to behave really well today, although i have been sticking to the plan and i haven't had any mayor pig outs, my days syns is usually about 17, i just can't help but to eat an extra mini pack of love hearts at the end of the day
!!!! roll on halloween when i can get rid of them to the trick or treaters ( i have 200 packets left over from my wedding ) I am hoping i have lost coz i have been on the toilet a lot this week,
and my trousers keep falling down :rotfl:. so today is
b - cadburys milk chocloate fibre creal bar, (HEB)
L - pasta and sauce and cheese (HEA)
D- slimming world chips, fried egg, mushrooms and beans .

Oh wow! Well done you!:T:T0 -
Feeling rough, think I have tonsillitis. Not had anything to eat so far today but have been having drinks. Think I may try chicken and mushroom pasta n sauce or a cup of soup for lunch if I can force myself out of bed.
Well done to all you losers, great to hear others successes.0
