  • hello all  I've decided to join as I've been lurking for a bit.
I've done sw loads of times but my most sucessful was 5 yrs ago when I lost 2 stone in 12 weeks, then found out I was pregnant (quite a shock I had the coil in at the time)
I've tried since but never really been able to stick at it as my expectations have always been too high and unrealistic, i.e. expecting to lose loads even when I'm eating crap.
So after rejoining earlier this year then leaving as my old consultant was covering the class (not too keen on old consultant, seems very false and only interested in you when you're losing) I have this years books so I'm restarting.
Started today and so far my day is an EE.

    B - 2 weetabix 250ml semi skimmed milk (1 HEa)
    Snack - 1 Banana.
Snack - 1 Chicken mug shot.
    L - 2 JP's with homemade bolognaise and salad.

I'll update the rest later, I've learnt that I need to plan in advance but also take one day at a time and most importantly not to let the little slip up become the reason to give up all together.

lol had to google what hunters chicken was but i think i have found a version i can do but will leave out the wine (dont have any), garlic (yuk), celery salt (what the hell is this??) and sugar (maybe a little sweetener instead)
and also try to sneak in some extra veg too

    Chicken alla cacciatora

This is an old favourite - chicken cooked 'the hunter's way', which grants a certain amount of culinary licence. The addition of a can of cannellini beans turns it into a quick, one pot supper, but I also adore it with plain steamed rice.

    Ingredients
    Preparation method
    1. Heat the garlic oil in a pan and fry the pancetta, spring onions and chopped rosemary for 2-3 minutes.
    2. Add the chicken pieces, sprinkle in the celery salt and stir well.
    3. Pour in the wine and bring to a simmer, then add the tomatoes, bay leaves and sugar. Cover with a lid and leave to simmer for 20 minutes.
    4. Add the drained cannellini beans, if using, and simmer until the beans are warmed through and the chicken is completely cooked through.
    5. To serve, divide among four serving dishes

Just a really quick one- I am around and sticking top plan (ish!) but back on with a vengeance today. We have moved house so have only intermittent dongle-led internet and its working now so i thought i better jump on lol

Glad to see everyone still hanging in there and pushing on through welcome to the newbs

I am revisting the need for a v low budget so this is what Ive got in store:
    Today is EE:
    Half a pineapple and yog
Beans, mushrooms, eggs and one slice wm toast ( HEB)
    HEA MIlk for teas
Dinner is chicken ( leftover) mushroom spinach and peppers pasta bake ( no cheese on mine as I dont like it much :)) Im hoping this is free and am making the sauce using eggs & FF-FF- will this work?
Snacks will be banana, more pineapple and some frozen berries ( giving the sains basics one a go today)
Also am making a chicken and veg soup as well with the rest of the left over chicken which should sort a few lunches out for this week.
Couscous salad is cooling for tomorrow, feeling v organised :) I think its not having the internet makes me feel rather productive :o

    Love to all xxx
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Thanks in advance!

Hi all! I've been really struggling to stick to the plan recently. I haven't been eating LOADS of naughty stuff (well not ooooo often lol!) but just not really following the plan properly. I really need to start writing out my food diary again, that always helps me to stay on track. I'm having a green day today:

Brekkie - rice, fruit, yogurt, banana
    Snack - pear
Lunch - HM coleslaw (1), jacket potato, beans, cheese (HEA)
Tea - Fish (HEB) with either SW chips and veg or pasta and spicy sauce (saw this in a magazine, think it might be the most recent SW one)
Other HEA - milk in teas
Other HEB - might have a fibre plus bar for pudding
Syns - ketchup with tea if we have chips! Otherwise won't bother having any unless I have a craving for something as I had birthday cake and a mini pizza yesterday!

I make a tomato pasta sauce by softening onions and garlic in a little fry light. I then add a carton of passatta and some dried oregano and bubble till it goes nice and rich and thick. I also add some fresh basil at the end. You could also add some veg to it and I do the smae but with mince added for bolognese.

Passatta makes a much nicer tomato sauce than tinned toms!
