Hi everyone - stumbled across the forum when googling! I joined SW on 20th September and have managed to lose 16lb so far - incredible for how much I am eating! We have an excellent consultant who thinks up dozens of ideas to keep the class motivated and the sharing of experiences is great! We are also lucky to have a couple of local butchers who are SW approved and we can buy syn free mince, burgers, sausages, stuffed chicken breasts (1 SYN) and beef olives to name just a few items! Thanks for the recipes that I have spotted along the way - it will be great to share experiences with you all - weigh in tomorrow again - hopefully I've made it to my Club 10!
Welcome!! Great start. It's so important to have confidence in your consultant and I'm glad yours sounds like a good one.

Good luck with the weigh in today - hope you get your club 10.

I wonder if the list of SW approved butchers is available through our consultants? I'll ask next visit.

Have a good week everyone x

Well somehow after a terrible week of eating i've still managed to loose 0.5lb this morn:j. Not a lot but after the amount of non sw friendly food i've scoffed last week i was extreemely suprised to see my scales go down at all, so i'll take my 0.5lb and give myself a serious kick up the bum and hopefully i'll have a better week this week:o.

Feeling rubbish today, have really sore throat and banging headache but determined to try and stay on plan. For breakfast I had a fibre plus bar and an apple for breakfast. Got some grapes to snack on throughout the morning. Planning to have jacket with cheese and salad at lunchtime but not sure about dinner. Think it will depend on what I feel upto by time I get home from work.

Don't get too disheartened - I had an unexpected gain the week before last - but then I re-examined the Plan and changed a few things and lost 4 pounds last week! Have a nice time away!:)

    :j

After almost a month seriously off plan (and a scary gain, obviously!) I have found my mojo again.

One week back on plan and I lost 4.5lbs - it's like my body thinks I've just started all over again.

Today will probably be Red :

    Bran Flakes (part HEB)
    Fruit
    ML

    Milk in tea (HEA)

    Ham
    Salad 2 syns for dressing
    Fruit

Ryvita + cheese triangle (rest of HEB)

    Chicken
    Stir fry sauce 2 syns
Veggies - onion, celery, beansprouts, broccoli, carrot

Need to squeeze another HEB in somewhere...
  • Hi all,
Had another 1.5lb lose last week which was great! This week for weigh in tomorrow, I have the fear that a gain is coming my way! Had friends to stay at the weekend, mostly went to plan, apart from lunch out yesterday - had a goats cheese and vegetable panini with chips. To try and make that better I only had superfree for the rest of the day. Drank alcohol too, but that should be covered within a couple of days syns. It's surprises me how harsh I've been with myself about sunday's lunch. Maybe it's because I've only lost 3lbs so far in 2 weeks, and I'm worried I'm gonna be back at the beginning again! Well, 2 complete fabulous on plan days beofre WI, and a couple of runs so we'll see! On half term now so have more time for trying out new dishes - got 2 planned for this week out of my new World of Flavours book - beouf bourguignon and pollo al chilindron, has anyone tried these before?
    Thanks, Bob Cat
