Just a heads up for those who may want one - large slow cookers are on offer in Aldi tomorrow for £17.99.
I have had a few electrical things from Aldi and they have always been fine - and they come with a 3 year guarantee usually.

How do people find success express? I am upping all my super speeds in order to drop a few more pounds as have maintained for two weeks, is this right? Having tons of veg with all my meals too, more than I usually would! x
  • Just had this for tea - was simply delicious. I have eaten it on a green day and measured the bacon as my b choice and put 2 oz cheese in it for both of my a choices.

Roasted Red Pepper and Bacon Quiche

    Serves 4-6 people
1 HEa per serving on Extra Easy
    Ingredients
1×500g tub of fat free cottage cheese
    4 eggs
4 slices of lean bacon, chopped
    1 red pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and finely grated
28g of Mature Cheddar Cheese, grated for per serving of quiche (1 HEa), (so if quiche is to serve 4, it will be 4×28g and so on)
    Frylight or Pam Spray

    Method
Preheat oven to 180c of 350f
Squeeze excess water from grated potatoes, using a clean tea towel. Spray a quiche dish with some Frylight or Pam spray and flatten potato mixture all over the base of the quiche dish, making sure you go up the sides too. Spray over the top with a little more Frylight or Pam spray and add quiche dish to oven and bake until it has begun to go golden. Do not over bake, as it will cook for longer with the quiche mixture.
Add the red pepper to a oven proof dish, spray with Frylight or Pam spray and roast in the oven till softened. Approx 40 mins
Spray a frying pan with Frylight or Pam spray and add the onion and bacon and fry until golden.
In a bowl, blend together the cottage cheese, eggs and mature cheddar.
Add the bacon, onion and roasted red pepper to the hash brown quiche base, pour over the quiche mixture and then bake in the oven for approx 20-30 mins, quiche should be firm and cooked through and slightly golden on top.
    Serve with a side salad
  • hello everyone how are you all ?

i have had a right week of it , pizza hut monday , bannoffee pie twice , a meal out for my son's birthday and about 25 syns in chocolate cake over 2 days.

my tum is killing me - i have proved my point , my IBS was entirely self inflicted by what i was eating , so when i am away for 4 days next week i will be strictly ON PLAN ;)

i was planning on having the 4 days of , but it is not going to do my tum or my weight loss any good so SW books in the holdall it is :D

feeling very sorry for myself tonight just hoping it settles down so i can have my HEB as some toast later on.

for anyone who likes toasties - have you ever done a cottage cheese one ??? using bread as a HEB mmm gorgeous !!

checking in here every day is giving me some brilliant ideas so thanks everyone xxx

Big (hugs) - my IBS plays havoc when I go off Plan too.:( Well done for being so determined to get back on track!:T Thanks for telling us about the cottage cheese toasties. I've got some cottage cheese leftover from dinner and was wondering what to do with the rest of the tub!:D I'm having a red day tomorrow - do you know whether it would work to have cottage cheese and ham in the toastie??
  • Well there's always one isn't there :D I think as someone else said, the fish, chips and mushy peas is just to prove a point that with SW nothing is banned.

When I have a meal like that (which I do frequently) I always make a big bowl of salad to go with it and I honestly think the cool, fresh stuff makes the fish and chips taste even nicer :p

Take a look on the website for a 7 day menu for the EE plan www.slimming-world.com

What I do if I think the main meal doesn't have enough superfree foods in it is have some fruit whilst the main meal is cooking, like having dessert in advance of the meal. I confess I would feel guilty having the fish, chips and mushy peas - I'd definitely add grilled tomatoes and mushrooms just to be on the safe side :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Have had a lovely day singing with the Sing Live choir in rehearsal for a concert at York Minster next Friday.
When I am busy like that I don't really think about food.... had an apple and fibre bar for lunch (I know - not enough! - but we had a cooked breakfast because I knew I wouldn't get much chance for lunch), but had an early supper of low fat suasages, mash and swede and carrot. DH had it ready for me when I got home and he had put the potato through the ricer twice and it was like he had added milk and butter, but he hadn't! Nomnomnom! (thanks for whoever puts that in their posts - it has become a legend in our house!).

PS - just had some of these with laughing cow light - very nice!
