I know my friend does not like Frylite so uses some syn free stock to saute onions etc in, think she uses vecon? She has lost 16lb.
I find I do use some convienience meals - but only a few, If tired and in a rush from work I go for pasta or a jacket potato, otherwise I cook. Tend to cook a lot on a Sunday and freeze portions. Or use the slow cooker.
I dont use the artificial sweetners either - have got agarve nectar I use and just add a couple of syns. Do have the odd diet coke but am working on cutting that out.
I'm vegan and find SW fits in well with my lifestyle, easy to adapt to vegan foods:)Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Oooh I didn't mean to diss the plan.
It's just the class I went to back in the day was all about free foods (and I don't mean apples) and how to get them into your meals. I remember sitting through a demonstration of the most vile looking sausages - morrisons I think were free... she made them into sausage rolls with bread and egg and then everyone fell on them like they were manna from heaven.. There was lots of emphasis on pasta n sauce! I guess it was just the consultant.
I cook a lot from scratch, (I even try and make my own bread if I can) and try and keep it "real". It just takes a bit of adjusting to. Frylight EVOO has emulsifier, alcohol and vitamin E added. It's not bad.. it's just not natural.
I've already had a good look at some recipes and I'm making my shopping list for t'big shop laterWell behaved women rarely make history.0 -

Home now - thank goodness for weekends...:D
Yesterday was...interesting, food-wise. I was at the hotel for the meeting in Cardiff until 1400 so I had :
Bran Flakes HEB
Berries
Yoghurt - the sourest natural yog I've ever had! Come back my vanilla MLs, all is forgiven! probably some syns - don't know what %ge fat it was
Kipper fillets
The buffet lunch was not SW friendly - the sandwiches weren't wholemeal and they were swimming in mayo, so I had a couple of salmon goujons (6 syns?) and lots of fruit.
On the way home I had more fruit.
I was desperate for chips when I got home (after waiting an HOUR for a bus!) but I managed to not get off at the chip shop but made it home and had SW chips, beans and HP sauce 2 syns. Nomnomnom. Supper was a couple of cheese triangles.
So I think that sort of made it a Green Day (Milk and cheese triangles as HEAs, kippers and salmon as HEBs).
Back in proper control today - need to go shopping for food so I will make a meal plan for next week. I already have a chilli in the SC so may have some of that for dinner tonight.
Today : EE
Bran Flakes Part HEB
Berries
ML
Ryvita rest of HEB + 2 cheese triangles part HEA
Milk in tea rest of HEA
Pasta and sauce (Asda's version - are these the same syns as the branded ones?) 0.5 syns
Two big spoons of HM chilli mixed in - not quite 1/3rd superfree overall, but I had an apple and a banana as snacks mid-morning, so hoping that makes up for it...?

I work for TGIs, i would set your upper limit quite high! There is a menu online, have a nosy and see what you want and i'll let you know if it is good/bad. They can do a steak with veg/salad or chicken with veg/salad.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
i was tghinking of having a chinese take away tonight
.
i have looked on syns online on a green day egg fried rice is 4 syns for 300g and a chicken chowmein is 7 syns for 380g (they say this is an average portion), does anyone know how big that average portion is ? is it a normal chinese container full, or 1/2 a container ? any thoughts greatfully recieved0 -
I have a dilema, I love this forum but my new anti virus software keeps finding cookies that collects personal data from this site. The software is set to run a scan every hour, I have tried different things and the 2 sites that throw up are facebook [no suprise there] and this forum. I don't even have to be logged in, just visiting the site and I have a virus. I don't know what to do, as I really need the support from you lovely people or I'll be back to square one
. Hubby says if I insist on staying then I shouldn't winge but I'm too scared to buy offline now incase my card gets hacked like my bank account did.
What to do? What to do?Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
