i ate too many sugar free polos once and yes they did give me good bm's but they also gave me good tummy cramps to match so be careful
my poor little body if not used to fibre so the hi fi bars are having a bit of an affect on me0 -
sounds yummm thanks
Im a butternut squash virgin lol so all help appreciated.......You do peel it dont you???
Virgin or not, you'll enjoy this recipe, I guarantee. It's dead easy to do and so tasty you'll be making it every weekI'm a wimp so I cut down on the hot stuff (ginger & curry powder).
Butternut Squash Soup
1 large butternut squash
1 large onion
Frylight
2 pints hot water
1 teaspoon curry powder (I use ½ tspn)
1 teaspoon ground ginger (I use ½ tspn)
2 vegetable stock cubes
Very low fat natural yoghurt (optional)
Cut and remove seeds from the squash and chop into 1” chunks (no need to peel but remove the lumpy bits on the end).
Dry fry the chopped onion in Fry Light for 2 mins.
Add curry powder & ginger and cook for a further minute.
Stir in the cooked squash and add the stock cubes & 2 pints of water
Bring to the boil, and then simmer for 30 mins.
Puree in blender and serve with a swirl of low fat yoghurt if liked.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Whenyou cut it open, itll have seeds inside, scoop those out, cut into nice strips and roast....mmmmmmmmm..... I'm having a roasty on sunday so I'm going to roast this with parsnips and carrots.
Any ideas how I can do roast potatos etc keeping it relatively syn free?
I do my roasties exactly like I do the SW chips - along with roasted parsnips and sweet potatoes but I cover them with foil for 30 mins till the potatoes have a bit of extra heat in the oven then zap them all together for another 20 - 30 mins on hot-ish.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
have an ee day, but have accidently consumed 2 hi far bars |(woops)so i think i will have 2 b's and no a's today
bf- 2x hi fi bars
lunch- spag hoops, shape zero yogurt
dinner- cod, poatoes, peas, sweetcorn
syns- to be confirmed
Oh but that's not an EE day at all
IMO you really ought to eat your superfree with your other food as it gives you a more 'real' looking lunch/dinner. If you were eating out it would all be on the same plate, so why not eat it like that at home?
It's no good having a HEB in place of a HEA as they are for different things (Bs give you fibre, As give you calcium).
You may find that some pre-planning will help you to eat better. Sit down when you've nothing else to do for an hour and plan some meals for the following day or two (or more if you've time). It helps to do this before you shop so that you know what you need to have in. It saves a lot of hassle (and picking at the wrong things) when you're tired and hungry at the end of a working day.
Don't worry, it'll all fall into place before longI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
