Morning all. Thanks for the recipes Mrs M, they all look scrummy! They sound like real comfort food which is exactly what I need now its getting colder! ALso loving the sound of the 1 pot pasta thing......less washing up as well as an easy tea!!
Tonight I'm going looking at wedding favours etc with OH's mum then she's doing us tea. She mentioned doing a chicken casserole which is by far her healthiest tea so shouldn't be too bad! I'm not sure what's for lunch as I need to get something when I pop into town. I'm hoping I can get a jacket and beans or something!0 -
Hmm...yesterday was a bit tricky. I left home at 0550 and got back at 1850...the delights of a meeting at our head office in London!
So - I had :
Oats so simple (Golden Syrup) 6.5 syns + some thawed frozen berries
Milk in porridge and tea through the day HEA
Fruit - lots of fruit. I think I had three small bananas, an apple and a small punnet of strawberries. (There's a fruit stall near the London office and it was better than eating the biscuits and cakes they give us).
Lunch was two pieces of wholemeal bageutte sandwich. One with Brie, one with lean beef, both with added salad and tomato. I'm counting the bread as HEB1 and HEB2 and allowing all 15 syns for the fillings.
When I got home (another apple eaten on the train). I was so shattered that all I could do was a bowl of plain noodles with spring onion, soy sauce and chilli. Oh...and four extra light laughing cow triangles HEA2.
Overall - it could have been much worse, I think. 21.5 syns is OK, given that I only had 8.5 yesterday.
Today is better :
28g Bran Flakes HEB + ML
Milk in tea through the day HEA
Lunch will be bought (naughty, but it's cold in here today and I'll need hot food)
JP
Beans
Cheese HEA2
Chilli sauce
Dinner will be the other gammon steak HEB2 + 6 syns and lots of salad0 -

Well done you!:T I know from when I worked in London that meetings and the like usually bring with them everything that is hard to resist on the Plan; so well done for being so determined to stick to the Plan!:T0 -
Last week at weigh in I put 1.5 pounds on which i was upset about as it's the first time I have not lost since joining sw but recognised that i may gave had too many syns. This week i have stuck to plan, reduced my syns and increased my exercise but am terrified that when I go to sw class tonight I will have put on again.
My meal plan today is:-
Breakfast - melon, grape and alpen light bar
Snack - alpen light bar
Lunch - jacket with cheese, cucumber and tomatoes.
Snack - velvet crunch crisps
Dinner - not decided yet0 -

There are some Wetherspoon stuff under Syns online, it's under JD Wetherspoon. It's not everything.
For example this is wraps:-Five Bean Chilli Wrap, per serving 40½ Mexican Wrap, per serving 42½ Reggae Reggae Southern Fried Chicken Wrap, per serving 28½
Here's a few under chips:-
Gammon Steak & Pineapple served with Chips, Peas, Tomato & Flat Mushroom , per serving 9½ Haddock & Chips, per serving 24 Ham, Egg & Chips, per serving 14
I usually stick to the Ham, egg and chips at £1.99 and 14 syns and try and leave most of the chips! :rotfl:0 -

I know exactly where you are coming from - I put on 0.5 pound last week and had stuck to the Plan - all I can assume is that my portions were too large and hence the gain; as this has happened to me before.:(
I'm really scared of going to weigh in tomorrow even tho I've reduced the amount that I've eaten.:( We're right behind you - let us know how you get on.:)0 -
hiya,
yay lost 1.5 this week which was unexpected due to having a cold and totm.
also got the xmas cook book from buying a countdown - looks very yummy
mrsm - the recipie for beef and wine pasta sounds lovely - will be trying that
tried to make cous cous loaf yesterday but it came out more like cous cous brick lol
alisont - there is thread on minimins about weatherspoons. there is a rumour the jacket potatoes are injected with fat or deep fried, causing the high calorie count - but not sure how truthul that is. however they do say the weatherspoons 5 bean chilli is very low syn. hth
congrats on the loss :j i'm also going to try the beef and wine pasta next week too.
RE wetherspoons; the five bean chili is only 4.5 syns and thats for the tortilla chips that come with it, so if you take them off I think it's free. But I also think that it's a bit ridiculous that they would inject the food with fat? Why would you bother, it bloody jacket potato, it's not like it would taste better :rotfl: They may perhaps deep fry them for a few seconds before transit to the pubs to make the skins crispy, but the one I had last week the skin was soft. I don't eat the skin anyways so not a prob for me really though. And I think people would notice if they were swimming with grease on the plate from being fried before serving
well done mags_cat for sticking to plan under temptation :T
and hope you get well soon trixietoes! I think some cold things have syns if they are particuraly sugary, but I think thats mostly stuff for coughs like the soothers and bottles of cough mixure.
my plan for the day - EE
Break - 42g bran flakes & multigrain ryvita with butter (1) (HEA & HEB)
Lunch - not sure yet, will take an apple out with me
Tea - having sausages with mash, pea's and gravy. may get a carrot for it because I heard pea's arent technically superfree. perhaps 8 syns?
could someone double check the syn value for the sausages I have please? I have Sainsburys Butchers choice 8 pork sausages - 30% less fat.
and are all ryvita's one syn btw? I have the multigrain ones, how many are 1 HEB too? I think it's three, but im not sure.
and welcome RadioHelen! Thanks for the information about Weatherspoons!
Couldn't find the 30% less fat the nearest I could find was
Sainsbury's Butcher's Choice British Pork Sausages, 50% Less Fat, 8 pack, chilled 57g each
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]2½ Syns on Extra Easy
Original 2½ Syns
